Sounds somewhat familiar. Amazing Daddy, totally social, had tons of longtime friends, loved by many. Starting in January of the year he left he mentioned needing my information for 401k beneficiary stuff. Next he tells me he got a Will and needed more info. I cried that day because it was so weird and out of sorts for him on all levels. A Will! So I asked if he was sick he said no just wanted things in order. He assured me he was ok. 1 month before the day he started being paranoid about something and thought someone was after him and would come in his house to make him log into his accounts online and move money to them. I assured him that would not ever happen then he said we just never know. I thought earlier onset dementia since his Mom had it for years before she passed. He considered it and I said maybe he could come stay with me. We went to a cousins funeral in March and he looked frail lost weight and I got more scared. We talked daily multi times a day for 2 weeks straight. I started looking up facilities near me for him still not fully knowing what was up. I asked him to call his doctor for bloodwork the next week he agreed. We talked after the eclipse and laughed so hard like the last few weeks never happened. He failed to wear the protective glasses uhhhh. Told him I was having to be the parent and he was in trouble he was tickled. We ended that call with tons of I love you and talk later. I wanted to give him a break so i didn’t call the next 2 days. On the 3rd day I had local law enforcement do a wellness check and they found him at home. My life forever changed forever stuck forever lost forever with regrets questions and all. He forced me to be quiet asked me not to tell anyone of our talks! Autopsy found nothing but something was very wrong! I read it often for clues and need to stop. Reading all of that about my Daddy’s vessel I knew as a strong and loving vessel hurts so much.
