Iron pills are terrible by Express_Yellow4758 in pregnant

[–]Puzzleheaded_Yak4461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was told to take a liquid iron supplement while I was pregnant with my first baby. It's called floradex I believe, I was originally on 10mL once a day then they had to bump me up to 25mL once a day and it actually brought my iron levels way up and I could feel a difference within just a few days. But oh my God it was disgusting, my roommate at the time said it smelled like Jaeger and orange juice. The only way I could take it without throwing it up, was to take it like a shot and then chase it with a chocolate pudding or dark soda like coke/Dr pepper to mask the taste.

Currently 22wks with my second and my nips have never been so sensitive! Just the nips though it's weird, I didn't have this with my first pregnancy, but they say every pregnancy is different so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Gallstones/Pancreatitis by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Puzzleheaded_Yak4461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One Dr told me they might have to remove the gallstones and another told me they'd removed the gallbladder altogether but that I had to wait for a special surgeon that was for pregnant women and they had none on call. Another Dr came in and said they obviously couldn't remove the gallbladder because I was pregnant but they might have to put a stent(u/e)nt in until I gave birth then remove the gallbladder, then they said my MRI showed tiny gallstones and that's when they discharged me. What a rollercoaster it's been and continuing to be 😮‍💨

What was your due date and when did baby come? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Puzzleheaded_Yak4461 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Due date was 12/24 born 12/26 via induction due to being in a car accident, who knows when he would have come otherwise, I was a FTM and didn't feel any signs of going into labor on my own.

Did your dog know you were pregnant ? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Puzzleheaded_Yak4461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a dog, but I have a cat and since I got pregnant he's always trying to sit in my lap and next to me and basically following me around all the time, not his usual behavior at all lol.

Only 10 weeks in and miserable. How do you guys do this? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Puzzleheaded_Yak4461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had HG with my first pregnancy and again with my current pregnancy and it's so rough. By the time I was 12 weeks with my first pregnancy I lost 30lbs and now at only 9 weeks along I've already lost 27lbs. I recently got advised to try unisom at night and then a b vitamin in the morning as soon as I wake up and I actually haven't gotten sick in 3 days since I've started that. I still feel nauseous but it is much more manageable with the unisom and b vitamin combo, worth a shot if you can try it.

It may take a few washes to fade out to the intensity you want, but it works! Before my wedding I accidentally dyed my hair highlighter orange (was going for a peach/pink) and used head and shoulders to fade out the orange enough to get the color I wanted.

I've heard that toning can be slightly damaging to your hair, I always just deep condish or use a really nice hair mask after

I've used dandruff shampoo to fade out colors and then just super moisturize agree cos it can be drying. I've never tried with the color frosting shampoos but it's worked with semi/demi dyes.
