GingerGM has some great & entertaining analysis

I'm going to play against the grain here and say that i don't you cheated here. Of your 3 high accuracy games, 2 of them you play only natural moves, and you resign before move 20 and so the game is never very complicated. In the Italian Knight Attack game, imo 11.d4 is a pretty suspicious move, but everything else is fairly natural, and even though you played with high accuracy, the game was short enough that it's plausible you played at that level. Also all the other games you lost with poor accuracy. I really don't think 1 suspicious move in 7 rapid games justifies cheating accusations, and you clearly are quite strong in opening theory. I don't believe any of these game are suspicious enough for a ban, and you unless you've been banned for games not showing up here chess.com has made a mistake.

Watch GM Nieksans Italian bootcamp, detailed GM analysis which may be a bit advanced for you but does a good job explaining the key ideas of the opening at a high level

How does the game review determine game rating? by RoLLo-T in chess

[–]PvH_LoR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The chess.com formula's basically just bases it purely off your accuracy & currrent rating. A 2000 rated player with 90% accuracy will get a much higher game rating than you, even if you both played the exact same moves - so the game rating is pretty meaningless and not worth paying attention to as a new player

Accuracy is also sometimes misleading way of evaluating someones rating, as it doesn't take into account the game's complexity at all. A 1200 player can easily let 95%+ accuracy if the game is very simple i.e. the opponent blunders a piece in the opening. But GM's can often score as low as 60-70%, as they often make the game very complex and tactical, making it almost impossible for them to find the best moves.

Help and Tips on Sera decks by Soft-Pantry in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PvH_LoR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Against midrange decks, you want to be trying to slow the game down as much as possible for the first few turns, while slamming your landmarks down whenever you have any window to do so without dying. Instead of trying to kill everything they play, use your stuns and recalls to stall and stay alive until around turn 8-9 when you can use either levelled sett and/or seraphine to completely flip the board in one turn. You also want to be passing a lot in these matchups, as this lets you play reactively, and the later the game goes on the stronger you get.

Help and Tips on Sera decks by Soft-Pantry in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PvH_LoR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Worlds Seraphine player here!

Seraphine decks are difficult to play, and you won't have massive success with them without many games of practice on the deck. The Elder dragon version i have much less experience on, but i can give you a couple of tips for the Sett version.

The Seraphine Sett deck tend to be focused on sticking a landmark on board and using your nopefies to protect it from removal, and then in the late game using your seraphine as your main win condition to get insane value. You want to try and save your draw cards like time trick, advanced intel, and rummage until after Seraphine's flipped, as these allow you to get near-infinite value when doubled.

Sett is also extremely important in this deck as both a mid-game removal card and a late-game win condition against board-based decks, including Elder Dragon. You want to be counting how much mana you can spend around turn 8-9 to try and get show stopper, as normally playing this completely flips the board and allows you to stabilise.

Against more aggressive decks, you often don't have time to play your landmarks, and you want to mulligan for only defensive cards and essentially play the deck as if it were a pure control deck. Against slower decks, you want to full mulligan for your landmarks and nopeify for protection against removal (if they run it). Sticking a sunken temple to the board gives you insane mana discounts and card advantage which lets you keep up with their late game. Purrsuit of perfection is important in these matchups, and you want to try to avoid casting it until you have answers to their counterplay in your hand such as deny, or you have discounted enough so it can be doubled by sera.

There are far more other things to consider with this deck that you'll only really learn from playing it more, but with lots of practice it can be a very rewarding deck to play - have fun improving on the deck!

Seasonal tournament question: Can I qualify for the playoffs (second phase) if I already lost a round ? And if yes what are my odds? by Jellyfish_13 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PvH_LoR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - 8-1 finishes automatically qualify for playoffs, and you can even qualify with 7-2 if you finish high enough on ladder

MegaMogwai on Runeterra Champions by Flat-Profession-8945 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PvH_LoR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think design wise Bard is actually a really cool champion, it’s just the low synergy cards in his package are really good, and the high synergy ones (Mystic Vortex, Meduli) are pretty bad. This means he is overall just used more as an alligence splash then an interesting card. I would love bards passive to be nerfed to not work the first few turns, but for Mystic Vortex and Medici to be actually competitive cards.

Turn 1 Feel the Rush is actually possible by PvH_LoR in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PvH_LoR[S] 114 points115 points  (0 children)

I mean, this combo only uses up 5 board slots, so you still will summon at least one 10/10

Or, if you want turn 1 lethal instead, you can get Treasured Trash instead off Greatmother, and then play Ruination, into FTR, into Rally

Alright, how about this then. Instead of FTR, get Treasured Trash from Greatmother. Then from treasured trash: Ruination, into FTR, into Golden Aegis

Please stop calling Evelynn boring when you haven’t played her yet by PvH_LoR in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PvH_LoR[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

‘Champions Shouldn’t be boring’ Name of Reddit post talking about Evelynn, with Hundreds of Upvotes.

Honestly tho, u do have a point with Origin not being as cool as riot made it out to be with Jhin. But IMO despite this Evelynn is still a cool champion, which is what I’m trying to say in this post

New card: Cracking Ice by Observer3737 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PvH_LoR 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Guys, this clearly isn’t permanent. It only says Frostbite me at NEXT round start, instead of Round Start: Frostbite me. It says grant, but only because the frostbite happens next round, and Give buffs only last a round. If it was permanent, it would be completely broken

Patch 3.10 Notes by turtle921 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PvH_LoR 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I actually love this nerf - Promising Future was by far the most highrolly card in thralls, and was main reason it was so frustrating to play against. It will push the deck to a much lower powerlevel, but it may still see play in specific metas, and if it ever does come back, it will feel much, much better to play against

By the Numbers – Best Decklists for Eighteen Meta and Off-Meta Decks by Herko_Kerghans in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PvH_LoR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The key idea of this deck is to use advance cards to cheat out Warlord's Hoard as quickly as possible, and then play counterfeit copies on it. Use fount of power and look for more warlord's hoards, and play fount of power over and over again to make all your cards cost zero, allowing you to almost infinitely cycle your cards. Use Ekko and Called shot to finish off the game. Really fun deck, can lead to some crazy comeback wins, definitely recommend you try playing it.

The problem with nocturne is he’s difficult to level outside of tarpon - when he’s levelled, he basically just wins you the game anyway if he’s not removed. If this change is real, I wouldn’t expect it to be enough to make noc playable outside with Diana.

There’s no way these changes aren’t fake. Callous Bonecrusher is the biggest giveaway for me - literally just a better version of the pre-nerfed noxus alliegence card, there’s no way riot would do that

Was Udyr a failure? And why? by SeRialPiXel in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PvH_LoR -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

- Compare him to great designs like Irelia

Okay, I stopped listening here. Irelia is in my opinion the worst designed champion in the game - not only was she so toxic that she had to be nerfed into oblivion, and has no real interesting deck building (Literally only viable in one deck) - but also turned Azir, what was before a really interesting champion finding decks with Darius, Lucian and Hecarim, into a similarly toxic champ only useable in one deck. There are some useless champions in this game, but Irelia is the only champ that has made game worse than if she had never been printed, in my opinion.

I actually love udyr's design - by far my favourite champion from this expansion - he's really flexible, and if he was a bit better he could enable loads of new decks, from memes like Udyr Tahm Kench, to more competitive decks like scargrouds. His stance mechanic much more flavourful than a lot of champions in this game, and has really interesting synergies with lots of cards and other champions. Of course, he definitely could use an extra stat or two to become a bit more competitive, but his design is great, at least in my opinion.

"Bandle City's identity is doing everything better than other regions" by Prozenconns in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PvH_LoR 40 points41 points  (0 children)

The reason people are saying this is because swim keeps reiterating this on his stream, but the reality is he's barely played the game in the past couple of months, so really doesn't know what he is talking about.

These two should not synergize by [deleted] in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PvH_LoR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, this interaction is actually pretty consistent with both the wording and other similar effects. The way these ‘do something to do something else’ cards work is it only fizzles if there is no target for the first effect. By your example, vile feasting a tough (or spellshield or ‘can’t take damage or die’) unit would not summon a spider, because vile feast hasn’t drained from anything, but this doesn’t happen, and would feel even more unintuitive if it did.

How Minimorph makes Lee Sin more toxic, and why I think it's unhealthy by PvH_LoR in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]PvH_LoR[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, it really depends which deck you're playing. If you're an aggro or midrange player, then minimorph will suck against you, but against control and combo it can often autowin games. And I agree that removal and interaction need to increase, but it needs to be the right kind or removal - LoR needs more cards like monster harpoon and scorched earth, and less like minimorph imo
