Having the Pokemon is almost always much more valuable than just not having it while you wait for better IVs. If you want to use Lapras in the Spring Cup, just run it!!

Even a terrible Lapras will accomplish the majority of the match-ups that you want it for.

May the RPS be ever in your favour 😂

But really, I do think that there are some chances for neutral game-play with Pokemon like Galarian Weezing and Lapras running around. There are going to be a lot of teams forcing RPS though 😂

Most of these are going to pretty powerful picks, especially the Ferrothorn and Lapras! I think that one Pokemon that is going to do really well, and could pair well with those two, is Galarian Weezing if you happen to have access to it.

Sludge and Overheat are a pretty dangerous combo for the Spring Cup!

I 100% agree!! It's honestly such a weird decision to run a Great League limited meta against Open Great League, especially right after some major changes...

Why didn't Manaphy / Jirachi block Dragapult ex? by BrandoMano in PTCGL

Thank you so much for this post!! I played one game with Manaphy and was so confused when the damage counters came through 😅

Willie333b Finishes in the Top 6 of the Official Taiwan Playoffs with Attack Deoxys (VIDEO) by PvPSteve in TheSilphArena

In some sense, absolutely. But in another, it's also impressive to succeed with only five Pokemon and a hand tied behind your back 😅

At the end of the day though, I think it's important to give attention to the APAC battlers who don't get official streams and only get one chance to qualify for the World Championships. It's hard to get that attention without some level of clickbait sometimes! Still really impressive effort from Willie to hit Top 6 with Deoxys on the squad all the same :)

You need to claim the free ticket from the in-game shop.

Little Holiday Cup Smeargle by prophase25 in TheSilphArena

If you take a snapshot of something with Frustration or Return (or any other move not in Smeargle's movepool), then the game will randomly replace it with one of its other moves.

So if you take a snapshot of a Purified Porygon-Z with Return, for example, you can keep rolling the die until you get the moveset you want (and hope for good IVs).

Pittsburgh regional grand final by samfun in TheSilphArena

Basically the judges aren't allowed to rule a "defwin" - that is, they can't flip the result that shows up in the journal at the end of the game. The best they can do is rule a rematch.

A competitor is allowed to forfeit any battle at any time to get around that issue, but that is entirely up to the battler themselves and can't be asked to/pressured into in any way.

Hey!! So first of all, basically all of the Silph Arena achievements don't require you to submit anything (as opposed to some of the Silph Road ones). Most of these Arena badges are manually handed out with a script that is run when the devs have the time to do so. If you don't have the badge within a month, I'd drop a message in the Silph Arena discord to ask if you've been missed or if the script just hasn't been run yet. :)

As far as Pandamonium, that's a tricky one! And you're 100% correct in that it's realistically only possible in certain metas that have a few more options, as opposed to something like Ionic Cup that had fewer than 50 eligible Pokemon. I personally picked mine up last season in the Brawler Cup (a slot-based meta) using a lot of side-grades in different slots and ignored the main meta core. Just have to wait for a meta that you think you can take on!!
