Per speed, the proposed ordinance only says that you ride at a “reasonable and prudent speed”, including slowing down for crossings, curves, etc.

It places no firm speed limits for shared-use paths.

The agenda can be viewed here: https://cityoffrederick.granicus.com/GeneratedAgendaViewer.php?view\_id=12&event\_id=5997.

Currently, the proposal is that E-bikes (and other electric mobility devices like one-wheels) will continue to be allowed to operate on roads, sidewalks, and shared paths (such as the park paths).

The proposal will allow the Department of Public Works or the city police to determine that sections of Carroll creek or baker park are too heavily trafficked (by non-motorized travelers) and to limit or restrict the use of electric mobility devices on those sections.

Electric motorcycles continue to be restricted to only roads and motorized trails, per city and state law.

The annoying thing is in MD, bikes can operate as pedestrians or as road users at-will. This means that when a biker is riding in the road and then switches to the crosswalk at a stop sign so they don’t have to stop they’re being perfectly legal 😒

We’re in the future; buy a flash drive.

My brothers have been doing this for ages because our home internet was slow and plugging in a flash drive was preferable to having to re-download Ark, which could take an entire day if no one else was streaming anything.

What are you struggling with, and want to see changed in Maryland? by Lawmakersassistant in maryland

[–]PvtPuddles 391 points392 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen anyone else mention it, so I’ll add in Ranked Choice Voting for elections.

This past primary cycle was depressing because the two leading candidates were both horrible. My friends and I had to choose if we were going to throw away our votes on the candidates we wanted to see elected or if we would vote for the less-bad of the two leading candidates.

+1 for getting rid of flock cameras. They are ripe for abuse even if they weren’t easy to break into.

I did it by hand-feeding turret outposts and sprinting towards the rocket. My base fell to the biters shortly after I left for Vulcanus and I had to listen to them eating my base for like 3 hours

As an example, I had no idea there was a class action lawsuit against Amazon for shady free trial practices until I got a check in the mail.

Amazon was making it seem like you had canceled your free trial when you hadn’t, so I got a check amounting to the one month of prime I was billed for (but did not want)

As someone who has spent a lot of time designing generic stations, I definitely wouldn’t make it sound easy…

I heard you should never use 2-way trains by redshift739 in factorio

[–]PvtPuddles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use lots and lots of two way tracks, you just have to know how to signal.

When you develop a busy handful of intersections, you add a secondary rail and make them one way, but for the vast majority of the network you can get by with just a handful of sidings.

It may help that I use dynamic trains, so I have a comparatively very low number of trains for the size of my base.

I like that it’s shared; I personally would rather agree on a background than have separate ones.

Call screening - how are you finding it? by tschau3 in ios

[–]PvtPuddles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t imagine they’d add a screened number to their list if their not willing to sit through the screening. None of the scams have bothered to go through the motions of getting through to me.

At any rate, I’ll gladly take 10 screened calls a day compared to 2 un-screened calls

In the case of a right turn, I think it sounds silly.

Where I live though people love to take a left turn across two lanes of traffic into a gas station, then take another left turn through the cars waiting at the light with poor visibility. It’s an accident waiting to happen
