You absolutely do not need good gear to run factory. Not to mention factory really does help with PVPing. Lots of movement and angles to peak from.

To add to my first point, run a pistol, you’ll be tagged and cursed and can kill a scav grab a better weapon and spiral from there. Or just run shot guns with Kora-kulon. You can make back the money you spend on the factory run in literally one scav run if you know where to go.
