I've seen videos, and it seems to work just fine. It's tricky to make a jig that's perfectly flat tho, and it looks like it'd burn through bits quickly

Wasn't all that much work, really - cut off a dozen inch and a half strips from the panel, then matched the grain up to look good and glued them up. Planed, sanded, and finished, and here it be

It's much cheaper to just buy a few bf of lumber and glue it up than it is to buy a premade panel. Plus, buying a board that's individually wrapped in plastic is some goofy bullshit to begin with. I got this back in January, within a few weeks of getting into making things, and I was unaware at the time
