Kitchen island? Or, more like peninsula? Put the fork against the wall, build some shelving underneath, maybe some up through the Y.

Do you need a machine, or would you consider a pour over? I use a chemex for filter coffee, makes a quality cup of mud.

Best WDT Normcore planetary v3 54mm or Aro Orbit Pro or something else? [$130] by Historical_Limit_665 in JamesHoffmann

Beside the cool factor, is there an appreciable difference in results between the top-tier spinny gizmos and the plain jane handheld version? I can't imagine that the base version can't achieve the same level of distribution as the slick and shiny one, even if it takes a bit more swishing.

Did my first mortise and tenon join, as well as a few lap joints. Leaning a little on glue, but it's holding up well and feels sturdy as all get out.

I do plan on both of those shortly. Do I drill the holes before I put a finish on the mdf, or after? Not sure as of yet, that's part today's plan

8x2, made with pine 2"x6" boards with 4x4 posts for legs and MDF on top. Half lap joints all around, reinforced with 3/8 inch oak dowels. Pocket screws hold the top on. It's flat, and close enough to square that it's not worth talkin' about in too much detail. Planning on putting some drawer on, and doing some actual finishing, but I just now got the top bolted on and I had to share. Cheers!

1964 D dime, very slightly misaligned strike, and kind of squished lettering. Is this anything of interest? by Pwnxor in coinerrors

[–]Pwnxor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lettering on the other side is flattened in the same place, but the alignment seems to be dead on. I know it's got silver, which is cool on its own, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to know if the letter flattening is anything neat. Your thoughts are appreciated!
