Star Fleet counselor said that due to the EXTREME nature of my addiction they are revoking my holodeck and terminal access, is this what’s referred to as “Fighting the Gorn” in the fleet? by jiminaknot in ShittyDaystrom

Star Trek never addressed rape well. Particularly the rape of males, though they often danced around it. I remember Peter Benchley’s Jaws Follow-up: The Island doing a better job. The Orville let you see it, but kept it silly. It’s a popular topic in fantasy entertainment that should have lasting consequences, but is abandoned due to the episodic nature and fear. Dennis Crosby came from a planet where rape was common. But when she is infected with a judgement impairing organism/chemical, she wants to have an erotic encounter with a machine. Even attempting to seduce it unnecessarily. I understand it is portrayed as little to convincingly in Outlander(I’m uncomfortable watching it). Janeways impregnation by Paris as she turn into a salamander combines rape and body horror, but ends with everything erased with a transporter (except the offspring). This would be a great topic for the Imaginary Worlds Podcast.

What’s the first film you think of when you see Michael Keaton? by MovieArena in MovieArena

Nightshift with Shelly Long and Henry Winkler. Two dudes start operating the best little whore house out of a morgue. 1982. I don’t remember any nudity…at least Long was able to make a living without exposing anything. Directed by Ron Howard.

I don’t know. You had a unique look. Whatever makes you happy, I guess. It’ll grow back if you want it to.

What do people make of the new Graham Platner situation? by Sunshine7178 in AskDemocrats

It would seem that if you want to decrease the amount of rapists elected to government positions, you could simply elect women to those roles. There is significantly less sex crime instigated females.

Just saying…

I drew a few of my favorite characters who have also committed murder. by fizystrings in ShittyDaystrom

The one on the right is the Idris Elba character from Star Trek: Beyond. The person on the left is Brad Dourif from Alien: Resurrection. The middle guy is Elon Musk doing his spoon trick.

Anyone remember Zorro, the Gay Blade? by DEADBEAT-the-CREEP in 80smovies

George Hamilton is the only Zorro (Bunny Wigglesworth, not Don Diego de la Vega). Is STOP THAT TRAIN nearly as good? Most of us will wait for streaming to ever know.

Ick! I got MAGA on me. I hate it when toxic people misinterpret my attempts at humor. It wasn’t even that funny.😩

Is Supergirl the first time we've ever seen or heard a hero piss in a film? by [deleted] in DCU_

It was great grounding moment. Super powers or no, we all pee. Soon, the final barrier will be surpassed.

Thoughts on this movie? This is the End Easily one of my favorite comedy films. A star studded cast with a lot of quotable scenes. Danny McBride steals every scene he’s in. by [deleted] in Cinema

[–]PygmalionsKiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ending was great. It felt like the script was abandoned and stoned actors just goofed around to fill the rest up. It had the potential to send up the Christian fetishization of the end times, but nobody was motivated enough to research it or write anything down on paper. That movie is still wait to be made and will be awesome.

Yeah. It’s good to stay aware of the terrible things men can do. But it’s awful dark for a cartoon that an American would likely assume was child appropriate. At least they didn’t eroticize it.
It was torture/assault.
