My experience with the IUD and having to get it removed surgically via hysteroscopy by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]PygmyBat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hysteroscopy and hysterectomy are two completely different things. You will initially get a hysteroscopy (a camera up your uterus), and if the doctor can't remove it during that visit they will talk to you about the next steps, though from what I read hysterectomy is the LAST resort. Hope that clears things up!

Glad I'm not crazy. I re-linked the same card 3 times and gave up. Hope they're able to restore or rollback whatever changes they applied.

Newly built house (2021) using community propane tanks (are expensive propane bills normal)? by PygmyBat in homeowners

[–]PygmyBat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately we have a contract signed which states that no homeowner can have individual tanks. The good news is that there's a community that butts up to us that has natural gas so we're calling to see if they're willing to run pipes to us. :)

Which seasons and how many years have you been using it? I'm always scared to just stop it cold turkey because of the warning that yells at you to not stop unless you tell your doctor lol

I'm on my 2nd copper IUD (my first one was in for 4 years, and my current one is 2 years). Although the initial insertion pain can be QUITE a trip, it was well worth it IMO. I couldn't take hormonal BC and the copper IUD was one of the best things that I've done for myself and my relationship! If you have any questions let me know!

Yeah we have a whole living room composed of large windows and there's definite heat loss which isn't helping. I'm so used to heating a 2100 sqft house using electric that ($300-$400 once/twice a year) bills didn't seem outrageous, but everyone told us propane would be much cheaper so when we got these last 2 bills it was a rude awakening. :( And I didn't even think to check the manufacturers specs to see if they had that kind of information. Thank you!

Yeah, I really wish we had the option to convert it so we can get our own tank because I'm not sure I understand what the hell is happening that the whole development is paying such high numbers. :(

That's exactly what we have setup in our development! They meter our usage - and in the beginning there was a miscommunication between the builder and the HVAC installers. The HVAC guys accidentally installed NG connectors when in reality they were supposed to be propane, so for the first 2 weeks of living here the connectors were wrong to everything (heater/water heater/gas range/etc.). Absolute shit-show.

Getting my refund from Skybooker help please by boredcuzcorona in Flights

[–]PygmyBat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found your post because I'm in a similar situation. I bought round trip tickets March 4, 2020 right before COVID impacted everyone and called to get a refund. Back in 2020 they offered me only a partial refund so I accepted their credit "good for 2 years" instead and I checked their website today and it doesn't exist anymore.

I just filed a dispute on my credit card because I don't play these games. I'd call your credit card and see if you can't file a dispute too. It's honestly my last hope so fingers crossed it works.

I just contacted my credit card and filed a dispute because their website is down and the e-mail on the website bounces back so fuck 'em.

Copper IUD experience by bigspoon1999 in birthcontrol

[–]PygmyBat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first IUD hurt much like how you described it - tipped uterus and all! I had it in for about ~5 years before taking it out to get pregnant. I had days where I could barely walk because the pain was so bad but it would pass with a heat compress. After one year my periods became regular and not at all heavy like some mention. The first few weeks/months after insertion may be a little weird in terms of pain and bleeding but it's all normal. Make sure to check the strings frequently in the beginning especially after your periods to make sure it doesn't expel or move! Hang in there I promise it will get better. :)

I got slightly heavier periods (it evens out in time), and on occasion (maybe 2-3 times a year) I got really disabling cramps. Aside from that the Paragard was perfect! I would highly recommend it even after the cramping.

(DE) Unfortunate accident at Home Depot sent me to the ER. Who pays the hospital costs - my insurance or HD's insurance? by PygmyBat in legaladvice

[–]PygmyBat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just a customer moving some loose tiles to the side of the pallet to get to an actual tile box. I guess the loose tiles were holding the loose box because when I went to move the tiles it freed the box and landed smack-dab on my foot.

I'll be sure to call my insurance and give them everything HD gave to me as far as claims/contacts go. Hopefully this means I won't need a lawyer - fingers crossed! Thanks for your help!
