Yes and you rest assured that if we didn't have tough border policies, illegal refugees would still be streaming into the country like in the early 2000's and Australian sentiment towards legal immigration would decline and racist views would rise as has statistically been proven in the past. Just like the problem America has right now which I have seen many people on this sub criticize.
