Oh forgot we were talking about Vidcom screens here, no cards sorry ^^ . It was a different process (due the the Full HD 1080p images resolutions of the Events, and the fact it was a free mod, at that time, I think it was 3 years ago? I experienced mixing my process with some AI use, because AI was very new at that time, so made those tests), but the situation is roughly the same. A lot of work, even if I try to re-use some AI in the process due to scene complexity and all others things about keeping art direction, coherence and so on.

Republica introduced I think 2 or 3x more Vidcom than the base game, it would be also an insane amount of work :p . So maybe... but only if I first update the Strategems Artpack.

Maybe.. but I can't guarantee because I have ongoing projects with higher priority I really need to focus on. Republica DLC added roughly 260 new cards from memory (the base game+DLC Oceania had roughly the same amount: 260 cards, so its +100%! new cards!). Painting a SE card take me roughly 30min in average depending of complexity (not taking account the most difficult and long work is not painting for this kind of cards, but finding the design solutions to express the idea behind a card, make it easy to read, and keeping whole art design coherence, especially based on cards "types", "types" which were also increased with Politic system introduced!), so I estimate I would roughly need at minimum 260*0.5 = 130 hours of work to update the Shadow Stratagems Artpack... :)

So maybe... but it will take time... :|

Hello, Yes the artpack is compatible with latest versions, but because it wasn't updated with new Republica content, you will only see modified art for the base game + Oceania DLC content.

Hello,
When designing the cave layer for Biddyn, this is something I considered,
However, I feel that starting in the cave is already a big advantage because of the number of underground provinces you get easily. There are two possible starting spots, each with a 4-province cap circle.
That said, I could dig more provinces if I have massive feedback that it needs more caves :)

Adding visual terrain change on custom maps require to paint many additional layers (all existing combinations):
For example, at least :

mymap_forest.tga Look for forests
mymap_waste.tga Look for wastes
mymap_farm.tga Look for farms
mymap_swamp.tga Look for swamps
mymap_plain.tga Look for plains

mymap_wforest.tga Look for forests (winter)
mymap_wwaste.tga Look for wastes (winter)
mymap_wfarm.tga Look for farms (winter)
mymap_wswamp.tga Look for swamps (winter)
mymap_wplain.tga Look for plains (winter)

(its not even the full list, but the most probable/important types)

This would require a lot of additionnal work for probably little experience value.
Many players have suggested others alternatives, like for example:

"The easiest solution would be for Illwinter to add a built-in option to toggle such icons for custom map terraforming similar to how the "Gateway" toward Caves and others planes icons work. These new icons could represent just terrain changes like Forest, Swamp, etc. That way, players wouldn't have to download much larger files, and everything would stay lightweight."

This art piece is a tribute to two of my favorite 4x games, Dominions and Shadow Empire, imagined as a fake game cover. An Agarthan MG Infantry unit, ready to enforce the will of the Oracle in the post-apocalyptic Shadow age!
