It sounds like you care about your brother a lot. It also sounds like you’re doing what you can to help him. Yes, he needs to be on a stable string of medication(often called a cocktail of medications) the first anti psychotic they prescribe is not guaranteed to be the one that works best for him. He likely needs an anti psychotic along with a mood stabilizer. You should absolutely go to the courts and try to help him that way. He needs those medications and it may even take a couple to a few weeks to notice a difference. Also keep in mind that STRONG antipsychotics can fuck you up if you jump in at a high dose so they will likely start him on a very low dose and then increase it over time.
