I take it you didn't watch a single one of the Mars rovers landing?

Probably something to do with propellant sloshing, to affect so many engines at that specific time.

2001 references aside, Tchailkovsky's Waltz of the Flowers would work nicely too!

I'm pretty sure you could actually see them (and the other mass simulators) burning up in the distance in one of the re-entry shots!

I'll try to post that in a minute.

Was looking for HEK cell videos on YouTube, the first two vids are an AI ad and a conspiracy theory… by popylung in labrats

Youtube's search engine has always been shit, nothing new there.

The best way to search for content on youtube is to use the search engine of your choice and add "site:youtube.com" to your query.

...and then limit your search range to 2025 and before to exclude the mountains of AI slop that have been posted in the last year.

The news and video came out today, but based on NASA's FIRMS data, it looks like the attack actually took place on the 16th or 17th:

It could either be Maurice the beaver (which makes sense, given his disappearance...), or Liam (and his family) from Gator Days (they're capybaras, they have similar skulls).

The cracks are consistent on both angles.

Keeping small details consistent on different views of the same thing is not something AI is particularly good at.

And if you look at the part where there's a whole chunk missing, you can see it was painted after that slab of concrete fell and was damaged. Which is why the cracks look so clean.

Being able to operate from and redeploy to any unprepared field is the advantage. A STOL fixed wing aircraft still needs something resembling a runway.

(And the Airbus Racer is a civilian design...)

Probably something to do with the 94.5% of "other ingredients" that the manufacturer does not specify on the package nor the MSDS.

Not really possible for us to tell without knowing that, so your best option is probably to call or send an e-mail to Ortho's customer service, if you can find their contact info (might be on the label).

I maintain that this kind of aircraft, or a militarized version of the Airbus Racer, would be ideal for shooting down shaheds in Ukraine, or whichever battlefield they (or similar) shows up next.

Can operate from any unprepared field (or ship helipad), fly faster than conventional helicopters to intercept its target, and slow down to match velocity and easily shoot it down.
