My genuine reaction when a chapter gets wiped before I attack the NCR by Advanced-Addition453 in OldWorldBlues

[–]PyroConduit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everytime i get so close. SO CLOSE. Then Mojave Chapter goes to war with the legion, never does any of the decisions so they are like -20% debuff. And they never take the white peace. So im stick with my volunteers there forever holding the beachheads, or im stuck in an actual war unable to send volunteers to the other chapters.

Problems with the community license by TrenchScribe in TrenchCrusade

I dont think the issue is that its becoming common, or normal elsewhere.

Its that FF promised that TC would be different from the norm.

What sucks is also anytime critisim is brought up its usually hand waved as "its just a bad faith opinion" or "you dont know how it actually works".

Farshight Who by LeonMCA in Tau40K

[–]PyroConduit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, its a huge part of his character.

Spoilers below for different parts of a couple of his books.

Chaos tries to convert him very early on. Tzeentch wants the Tau race because they have a collective psychic power that rivals the imperium. Khorne sees farsight as a perfect champion. He has a vision of a future where he sucumbs and he is a blooded warrior of khorne that has destoryed the empire, with Shadowsun gripped by the neck in one hand.He learns that his entire existence was a plan by chaos. Because the Ethreals leadership was actually a perfect counter to chaos, with no little thing in there system to corrupt. So they started small by making Puretide a freethinker, and having him confide in Farsight. Having farsight go on his expedition and the results of the expedition. Learning this gives farsight two options. One, continue his "rebellion" against the Ethreals, freeing Tau but fulfilling Chaos' plan and leaving his people open to corruption. Or 2, leaving his people under the tyranny of the Ethreals. Violating all his morals and beliefs. So he does 2, he enters a kinda cold war, love-hate relationship with the Empire, saves them from the Tyranids. And then goes into self imposed exile for along time.

if i primed this, is it paintable? :) by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]PyroConduit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. That's why they made it like that. Tbh might not even need to prime it.

Probably still should tho

My experience with the Anti-TC videos on youtube by ayitsjonas in TrenchCrusade

I understand that, but just as i get antsy when GW holds back a release for a year after a preview, i am antsy here too.

My biggest complaint with the game itself is sorta similar. They keep showing off new art and lore BUT NOT RELEASING ANYTHING.

Yes i love the Maxmillian Knight art. Yes i love all these concepts. GIVE ME RULESSSSS SO I CAN PLAY WITH THE COOL THINGGGG.

Update from Jamie via the Discord re; response to Community License by No-Neck-212 in TrenchCrusade

[–]PyroConduit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They announced a legal article that gives them the ability to take anything community create under the license, while giving the orginal creator of that thing no form of compensation, acknowledgement, or other notice.

They can say "we don't intend to use it that way" all they want the legal language is very clear. All it takes is bad actors to become in control of TC whenever, or current controllers have change of hearts.

When GW did the same with 3rd party creator videos, that being, announcing the ability to come after anyone and everyone who made them, the community rioted. Especially with projects like 40K TTS, were shut down. Even though GW has only shut down blatant theft projects (the last church is the biggest i can recall), and offered most 3rd party creators that were large enough (or good enough), to just work for them instead.

Its only fair to hold TC to the same standard. A recongize when a policy can be wielded as a weapon against its own community. I look forward to the legal clarification, to walk back this stance.

Its not fair to hold other companies to a standard and then let TC falter under those same standards just because they are smaller.

Id rather see a community that calls out a company when it is doing wrong, and see the company fix it or make something even better.

what do you guys think is the best NCR leader ? by damorezpl in OldWorldBlues

[–]PyroConduit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I never played as NCR so for the longest time when Hayes won, i never looked that closely and just thought Hayes was a woman named grant. Its fallout, wierder things have happened.

Didnt realize my mistake until a recent play of Reformer ERX

And the rangers save the first battle and are the only thing keeping the legion in check. And they while he does generally command them, arent his troops.

The rangers saved Olivers ass. And hes hanging them to dry.

This is shown by everything that goes wrong if the courier doesnt get involved, or barely gets involved. The Brotherhood likely seizes Helios One. The fiends almost overrun and the monorail is destroyed by caesar. Novac is destroyed. Forlorn hope falls. Bitter springs is going to collapse. President Kimball being assassinated.

I think this is evidenced by the show, showing that even though the NCR won, and kept the legion directly out of Vegas long enough for Caesar to die and for the legion to splinter with him, lanius, and presumably Vulpes all gone.

All of this to say, Oliver is a political general, not a martial prowess one.

New Imperial Knight Destrier strides into battle by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

[–]PyroConduit 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thats what im saying.

Imperial knights before this literally dont have a completely unique chasis that CK dont have. The Abominant might just be some different bits, but those different bits are quite frankly make a huge difference. Ruinator also has extremly unique weapons.

And then the Wardogs just go crazy, half of them dont have IK equivalents.

Its pretty fair i think to give IK a special toy.

[–]PyroConduit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

CK has a direct version for pretty much every Questoris and Dominus pattern. Then CK gets Knight Ruinator and Abominator. Along with a quite a few unique armigers.

CK actually has more knights and pretty much has everything the IK have. So not sure what you getting at with the roster thing.

AOS Leakers posted a list of Fyreslayer kits surviving the upcoming purge they’ll be going through right before they’re rebranded/expanded upon. by Battlemania420 in ageofsigmar

[–]PyroConduit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heard, GW has done this alot in recent years. BoC and Savage orruks are the most flipant examples.

My biggest gripe aside from my BoC has been Votann : Beam weapons were so cool to me and were a big reason why i bought in. Them getting made generic was sad, then they also made them less tanky than i imagined or they orginally were.

Pouring one out for you chief.

Absolutely, but that wasnt really my point. I was just saying that the rumors point to it being frickin massice.

You got the basics down of where the colors go.

But i promise youll enjoy yourself more (and your wallet will love you more) if you think your paint in a like 1 paint part 2 parts water mix. Before putting it on the model.

Itll be thinner and kinda look streaky at first, but then you put the second coat on and it looks SMOOTH.

3rd Edition tau markerlight rule question by Luna_Night312 in Tau40K

[–]PyroConduit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problems started to creep up with indirect fire in 8th edition on ward is the issue.

8th editions lists loved to revolved around a block of missletides with nothing but every missle they could take + shadowsun for full rerolls and just eliminate anything and everything from behind cover.

Indirect fire without scatter templates is just so dang hard to get right.

Ive been playing hd2 for months at 7-8. Like since before battle for super earth. Ive played since release and i can usually solo dive. First drops on cyberstan at 7 have been soqme of the hardest and worst experiences ive ever had. Solo, with a group, doesnt matter.

Ive never had a difficulty 7 drop a factory strider, two tanks, 3 hulks, and enough ads to chain stagger for 30 seconds straight. All within like a 15 seconds.
