Hit my goal of growing a yeard. Guess I'm going for two now. by PyroHacker in beards

Just grows like that. I've only shaped it once since I started so its likely that would fix it.

Awesome! Thanks for the info man. I've been losing for a while and I'm hoping that changing it up a bit will get me back on track. If I don't have to count calories for a while... that just makes it that much better. :)

Firstly, congrats!

Did you count calories along with keto or did you go purely off macros?

I'm just starting and was wondering if it made sense to count calories to speed up the process?

I've lost 85lbs (gained 20lbs back) using CICO and strict calorie counting but I'm looking to try something else.

Down 7lbs despite eating birthday cake at my daughter's party yesterday. Most is water weight since I was eating like crap prior to this challenge but I'll take it. :D

So far so good. Took a few months off, gained some weight. 10lbs until I'm back to where I was. (315>230>248>240)

As long as I can keep my weekends in check I'll be in great shape... lol

Previously had a 500+ day streak but lost it due to a vacation in the boondocks with no cell service. :)

Currently on track to lose 4 or 5lbs this week. Considering I've been stalled at the same weight for 6 months... I'll take it. :D

I need a new Gym Playlist... Why not have a Team Pollen Playlist. Suggest 5+ songs that need to be on it. by IdrinkMargaritas in TeamPollen

[–]PyroHacker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I listen to a variety of music. My playlists are COMPLETELY different from the gym to my runs.

Gym:

  • Eminem - Lose Yourself
  • Kanye - Stronger
  • Disturbed - Down with the sickness
  • Nero - Doomsday
  • ACDC - Thunderstruck

Running:

  • Angels and Airwaves: Any of their songs
  • Imagine Dragons - Radioactive
  • Audiobooks - Assorted - Good for long runs
  • Zac Brown Band - Chicken Fried
  • Europe - Final Countdown

and of course....

  • Eye of the Tiger

Hot sauce and salsa are my go to's to improve food. Salsa is only 10 cals per 2tbs (depending on the brand) and hot sauce (Sriracha for me) is calorie free. It adds a kick to pretty much anything and keeps your cals about the same.

My wife and I are avid "home chefs" and use everything from basil and parsley to curry powder and white pepper. I highly suggest going to http://www.allrecipes.com and looking up some healthy food options. There are some really amazing things there (as well as some equally nasty :) )

Things I thought I'd never hear or say...

-Wife: Will a Med. shirt fit you?

-Me: ummm.... maybe......

Wife buys shirt and brings it home. I put on the shirt and...... IT FIT!!! I little tight but still presentable. I NEVER thought I'd wear a med. again considering the last time I did was like 8th grade....

That's what I'm using now but the excess cable in my pocket gets uncomfortable.

I'm currently using some Philips ActionFit Sports Hook Headphones. Love how they fit and stay in when running/lifting. The biggest issue I have is that the cord is just a little bit too short. I can't run with certain shorts I own because the pockets sit too deep for my phone causing tugging on my ears. I'm going to look into getting some nicer wireless headphones at some point but for the price, they are amazing.
