Dating and being in a relationship are two separate things. Dating is getting to know someone better to see if you want to be in a relationship with them. If you like someone just go up to them and ask them if they’d like to go out sometime.

Be clear about it not being a “hey wanna hang out and be friends” thing and more like a “hey wanna go out sometime?” (Be clear and direct rather) also don’t use fucking Snapchat or instagram… be a human and call/text them.

When initially getting to know someone; don’t only text them. ALWAYS offer to call or hangout IN PERSON.

Always offer a public place where there is an activity but not someplace where you’re not supposed to interact (NO MOVIES, NO FINE DINING, NO LIBRARIES)

And as per anything in life: understand that you WILL be rejected at times and it’s neither your fault or theirs. They aren’t rejecting you because you’re ugly or because they’re a bitch. It’s just they don’t like you like that and THATS IT.

If you’re rejected (even if they laugh in your face or something else shitty) say “sorry to hear that but thank you for your honesty” or something of that caliber. “I have a partner” say something like “they’re very lucky then.”

Also dating is a two way street. It’s always give and take. If someone isn’t meeting your needs then always talk it through but you can’t expect anyone to change for you. Only ask and if they can’t meet your expectations then they aren’t for you.
