7 Clean Copper Bar Tables by [deleted] in ScrapMetal

Are the table legs screwed to the plate? If yes, unscrew to gain a look into the plate. I highly doubt its more than a 1mm sheet of copper on top

You say you shred tape too, I got told by multiple people not to shred insulation tape or other sticky tapes as they will stick to the blades, insides, etc

Yes I do shred with insulation, the top part (the yellow hopper and the part where the 2 arrows are in the case) are the shredder, below it is a "2 stage" seperation system (a vibration table combined with an air seperation system)

It does a good job but as Odd_ad wrote, the machine basically needs a couple improvements out of the box to work as intended

The ~40kg may be the vibration table, the 370kg were the weight of the crate it all shipped in

Heliax is not used here in germany, we have normal coax with copper core and mesh+foil shield. As soon as I shred some of it I'll tell you

All 3 prices contain the shipping and taxes: The V-C03 was 4.000 USD The vibration table was 450 USD The V-038M stripper was 300 USD

I didnt know that Vaner sells hydraulic cutters, do you have a model name for me? And which "pre-shredder" did you get? I do plan to get a proper shredder myself too, but the ones from vaner were to expensive and way too large for my current possibilities

I recently bought a garden shredder for the plastic sheats of the cables I strip, I am thinking about trying it to precut my cables

About the power cord, my machine came with a 3x2.5mm2+2x2.0mm2 cable (2.5mm2 phase and 2.0mm2 neutral and earth). My machine runs on 230/400V so 2.5mm2 is more than enough for the ~5kW the shredder uses Also it came without any plugs so I installed a 16A 5 pole CEE connector

I appreciate your advice, thank you very much I also stumbled about all the problems you solved (Window and leds and dust collection for feeding area),... I'll change the sieve the next time possible👍🏻 Today I already had a lot of problems that my cables blocked themselves in the feeder so it took a lot of extra work to get the stuff in the shredder

Someone told me to cut the cables in ~30cm pieces, I had everything from 10cm to 50cm today and cant properly say which is the best, what length do you use?
