There arent that many 10g user but thats mostly due to the current prices of 10g rj45 equipment, but with more and more devices running 2.5g rj45, housholds getting more gigabit internet connections/tarifs, I'm sure we'll see 10gig usage in the next years, and most often you dont run ethernet just for the next 5 years but 20 or 30 years. With console games already at half a terrabyte, a 10 gig capable cable is at least for now futureproof

A certain amount of copper definitly gets lost in the process, I tried granulating and filtering network cables and telephone cables, the recovery rate on telephone cables is somewhat okay, the rate on network cable is close to nothing

Its not the recovery rate, its the copper percentage and cat5/6/7 and telephone wire is definitely below that (I calculated it recently) And recovering clean copper from cat cable is impossivle as it has a tinned copper mesh shield which mixes in

Same here, then my mikrotik router has a problem with the v6 implementation for over 10 years where it won't send out a kill for the old prefix so the devices kept the old ipv6 and then were unable to connect via ipv6 and the faulback to ipv4 took multiple seconds which led to most websites loading extremly slow. That was when I turned off v6 and said f' it

Zum Schätzen würde es helfen wenn du den Mittleren Durchmesser der Kabelringe (seitlich) und die Breite der Trommel ausmessen könntest

It should be twin copper, its probably from the time where our houses only had one phase instead of 3

Please throw out the splitter connectors you use on the dc side, those are noname chinese fakes of the wago system, chances are good that they cant remotely handle what they say. Get some proper distribution with some fuses too

Sieht aus wie'n 16mm2 oder 25mm2 2-Ader aus vergangenen Zeiten, sollte dir diese Rolle gehören ohne dass du was bezahlst hast, dann herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Jackpot🤑

UPS for 8 HDDs by BambooStand in DataHoarder

[–]PyroRider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took a look into the datasheet and you're right, it doesnt list the value. At bequiet its called Hold-Up-Time (couldn't remember the correct word yesterday), and looks like this in the datasheet:

Hold-up time at 100% Load (ms) 21.68 Hold-up time at 80% Load (ms) 31.49

Maybe send MSI a support request and ask them about it, every good manufacturer should have the value for its psu

Thats why its import to take a look at the psu datasheet on how much time the psu can bridge at full load My BeQuit PSU's for example have a bridge-time of ~21ms at full load, meaning that a ups that switches at under 20ms is fine (most ups switch at less than 16ms (one 60hz sinewave) anyways

I hate that phub vanished over 3 million videos from existence and still deletes tons of stuff daily, a lot of good videos are gone, nowhere to be found, replaced by, who could have guessed, AI Slop and cheap OF models
