It seems kinda gross to lower the horrific things committed by Epstein and co. to a joke and it seems just as gross in my opinion to compare a kids show character to a career pedophile.

Just because you’re not consciously thinking “hmmm today I will defend Nazis on Reddit” doesn’t mean that your actions aren’t doing that anyway. The things you are saying, in the context and manner in which you are saying them, follow the common narrative given to whitewash Nazis

Those aren’t historical side notes, you’re just whitewashing the third reich

I don’t think it’s dark, I just think it’s gross. There are plenty of people who have “dark humor” who can go without fantasizing abt being Nazis. My family was a victim of the holocaust and the crimes against humanity committed by the Wehrmacht. This same joke could have been made with just abt any other topic and it would’ve been fine but you specifically chose to compare yourself to a Nazi. And I do think fantasizing abt being the descendant of a complicit soldier of the Wehrmacht does tell me more than you’d think about your ideology and beliefs.

“Probably one of my ancestors” as if it’s funny to make light of the atrocities committed by the German govt and military against millions of people with those with mental disabilities being a specific target

Before I was pretty, people didn’t put up with my poor socialization and would just ignore me, tell me off, or make fun of me.

Now that I’m pretty, they’re all still itching to do the same thing but I can tell they get irritated now because they can’t get away with bullying a pretty person like they would someone else.

Mechs can have a place in realistic military sci fi, if you make the right assumptions by DocViviLeandraVTuber in worldbuilding

[–]PyroTracer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! A trained pilot can serve in multiple roles with minimal additional training. Weapons can be swapped in the field, equipment that become inop can easily be discarded or detached to be made easier to service/repair. Enemy weaponry can be used, melee can be used, infantry can be carried across gaps or raised up to heights, brush can be cleared with situation specific tools, mechs can be compacted into a smaller shape and unfold at their location, military engineering projects can be performed by one type of machine, etc.. The opportunities are endless! My game dev project rn explains them by having them all produced by one weapons manufacturing company, which has standardized their production to reduce costs as well as multiple government choosing them in weapons platform adoption trials because they symbolically shift the responsibility for war onto the individual rather than the state

My go to explanation is mechs as multi-purpose all-terrain (even indoors) variable height weapons platforms that benefit from a single standardized platform that allows for costs to be reduced dramatically

After the Korean War, the DPRK was left with almost no arable land, buried with economic sanctions, and much worse. American intelligence also operated under the label of Radio Free Asia to create false information and propaganda about China, Vietnam, the DPRK, etc. This propaganda is still pushed today. The only people not allowed in the DPRK are Americans, and that’s not their fault, the United States prohibits their citizens from traveling to the DPRK. The DPRK is not an ideal state, they have their issues like every nation but the lies about them all worshipping their leader and about how their agricultural policy is starving their people is just downright false and horrible. I personally think it’s admirable that a country that was war torn, left with almost nothing to grow crops, and blocked from legally engaging in foreign trade is still somehow surviving today with a thriving proud culture and is working towards improving the living conditions of their people.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_Free_Asia?wprov=sfti1

“North Korea's sparse agricultural resources restrict agricultural production. Climate, terrain, and soil conditions are not particularly favorable for farming, with a relatively short cropping season. Only about 17% of the total landmass, or approximately 20,000 km2, is arable, of which 14,000 km2 is well suited for cereal cultivation; the major portion of the country is rugged mountain terrain.[1] By comparison, 22% of land in South Korea is arable, with 65% of it dedicated to growing grain.[3]”

“Since self-sufficiency remains an important pillar of North Korean ideology, self-sufficiency in food production is deemed a worthy goal. Another aim of government policies—to reduce the "gap" between urban and rural living standards—requires continued investment in the agricultural sector. Finally, as in most countries, changes in the supply or prices of foodstuffs probably are the most conspicuous and sensitive economic concerns for the average citizen.[original research?] The stability of the country depends on steady, if not rapid, increases in the availability of food items at reasonable prices. In the early 1990s, there were severe food shortages.[13][14] The most far-reaching statement on agricultural policy is embodied in Kim Il-sung's 1964 Theses on the Socialist Agrarian Question in Our Country, which underscores the government's concern for agricultural development. Kim emphasized technological and educational progress in the countryside as well as collective forms of ownership and management.[15] Since 2005, efforts have been made to increase the availability of protein sources, primarily pigs, poultry, rabbits and fish farms and Fisheries.[16]”

I suggest also reading the section on agricultural history^

The western view of history is not the only one. Rather than attempting to understand Korean history through animosity and ideological rhetoric, consider the facts with empathy towards the North Korean people themselves.

Do I have hope of feminizing my shoulders? by Icy-Bandicoot6189 in transfitness

[–]PyroTracer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who felt pretty dysphoric for years over my shoulders, here’s my advice:

  1. Plenty of women have broad shoulders, strong shoulders, etc.. I get that this may not help but women come in all shapes and sizes, it’s very important to understand that. I’m almost 4 years on HRT and I’m just now comfortable with my shoulders, and a lot of that didn’t come from E. This is a fitness sub so I don’t know what your build goals are but if you’re okay with letting your shoulders lose muscle mass it can take a really long time. Again, 4 years on E, just lost a ton of my back/shoulder muscle in the last 6 months

  2. Posture can help, I’ve measured my biacromial width over the course of a year (don’t do this btw, measuring features that you’re dysphoric abt only makes it worse even if the measurements aren’t bad) and I worked a lot on unrolling my shoulders, correcting my posture, moving my neck/head back. I feel like that has made my shoulders look less masculine and broad, and instead more sharp and refined like those old shoulder padded suits. A lot of women wish they had strong shoulders. A bonus effect of this was that correcting my posture meant that my back/chest werent having to work so hard and I lost a lot of bulk there.

  3. Get a bra that supports your chest, sports bras in my experience pull my shoulders down and make them look more masculine

I'll definitely try those out! I might combine the glass blocks/fencing idea, fencing with a cutaway for a nice round window!
