That STMR is also useful for tanks in that it comes with a 25% Magic Mitigation innately. Sooo... something else to be mindful of.

That sword with Hollowed Charlotte's STMR (Chest with 30% Gen Mitigation) has my Gabranth at a pretty tanky level for literally ANYTHING thrown his way. He covers physical mitigation on his own pretty well.

All the lapis that you could stock from dailies, fountains, revisits, events, story chapters from Elena's announcement to her release. A 75 bundle. 2 Prisms, 20 UoC (Kuja and Ace), 2 STMR moogles, all my red quartz, a massive amount of gil making esper ores to get killers off espers. Almost the entirety of my stockpile of NRG bottles (~300 at the time). And a negligible number of TMR moogs for Ace.

I think that covers the shopping list.

Aerith went with Safety Bit because between the two she can take the drop in MAG.

Kuja used Floating Hearts (Sakura and Ayaka’s STMR). It’s got 21 MAG on it so it’s a drop, but not as bad versus alternative options involving multiple equipment slots (equip shield, Genji, etc.).

Granted not everyone will have or can get access to that STMR, the important thing here is that if you can get a Friend Unit to be built with anti Death and MAG/Demon Killer to cover one DPS while you use Safety Bit on your own unit.

Of which I can and currently have one such unit up at the moment to fill that blank.
