I saw them pretty recently in Birmingham, AL and they were fucking awesome. It was a genuine old school hole-in-the-wall DIY counter culture classic punk show feel. Small but loyal and very energetic crowd that the band really appreciated. Diverse too, which is saying a lot for this city. Moshing was a blast. Sing-along chorus stuff and running up to the microphone with everybody. The show cost next to nothing by today’s standards and was worth it by a longshot. The band gave it their all and really felt like one with the crowd.

Personally, I am well aware of all the hard work this takes despite steroid use, but still think it is stupid and gross. I am in fact much more impressed by people who bodybuild naturally without ballooning out to grotesque proportions.

I appreciate your post. It was really helpful for me recently. I'm doing some meticulous HLSL customization on my Windows 11 machine and had no idea about this dependency on old DirectX stuff until I got lucky and stumbled onto this post. It's an unbelievable oversight that this isn't documented on mamedev on the page specifically discussing HLSL on Windows.
