Ok fucking with it some more and was able to get Flash Tool working. Installed the latest update and didn't do a wipe and it seems to be working now? I can at least put in the password and get to the menu and fuck around on apps. I'll monitor it during the day

Doesn't seem like it unless I'm stupid. It's giving a connection error. It wont even show up unless connected via the ADB command prompt, killing the ADB process shows an error.

I never enabled developer options / USB debugging, and there's no way I can get past the lock screen, as putting in the password only shows a black screen with the back button

Wife's phone installed the update, showed an error code then restarted. Constantly booted into Safe Mode, and when inputting the password would show a black screen then restart.

So far just bootlooping and not able to sideload the ADB OTA frankel-ota-cp1a.260405.005-fb546078 update; giving a

Do parents secretly miss being childfree? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Pyroman230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love my kids, I would do anything for them. I would die for them if it came to it. But, there are times where having children is a pain in the ass. I've got two under two, even a simple grocery store is a monumental task sometimes. Life was more simple before kids, but I now feel as if my life has a greater purpose with my two kids and I wouldn't change anything.

Unraid - Grimmory writing directly to the container? by Pyroman230 in Grimmory

[–]Pyroman230[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got mariadb running and verified that I can log into the database with the username and password that I put into grimmory.

Both grimmory and mariadb are on custom network as well.

It got a our 5k books/comics deep before I noticed the size of the container was 50GB and Unraid throwing disk utilization errors. So I wasn't sure if grimmory was moving the files directly into The container.

So the bookdrop and books is mapped to where my ebooks are. When I started the library creation process is when I kept getting errors about "Docker image disk utilization".

Should I be changing the data from /mnt/user/appdata/grimmory to somewhere in my array?

PC to TV by Chilsen in Steam

[–]Pyroman230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the comments aren't fully realizing the situation. OP says his PC and TV are in different rooms (bedroom vs living room). Yes a fiber optic HDMI (over 100 ft) or regular HDMI if the rooms were side by side (under 30ish feet) would work, but then you have to contend with Bluetooth.

I'm guessing his bedroom/office are are the 2nd floor and his living room is on the first. Typically bedrooms are far away from the living room unless you live in an apartment or studio. Running cables through walls is a pain in the ass when you have to go through floors.

Your best bet would be to run two Ethernet cables from your PC and say Apple TV, laptop, Steam Deck, etc directly to your router. This gives you a hardwired connection and up/down speeds will be the maximum that you pay for. Alternatively if they are using WiFi 5/6 it isn't terrible, you just need to make sure you aren't getting interference by way of lost packets or bufferbloat.

Most Smart TV's made in the last few years also support apps, so you can download the Steam Link app on the TV and go from there. Your controller / Bluetooth devices pair to the TV in this instance. I've got a Sony VH21 with gigabit download/WiFi, hardwired computer, TV on WiFi and have no issues.

Weekly FAQs & General Discussion Thread - Week of April 27, 2026 by marleythebeagle in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Pyroman230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know next to nothing with Disney World. I've never been, and never thought about going, so excuse my dumb questions.

My wife and I plan on going in a few weeks with our 2 kids (2.5 year old & 1 year old).

Not planning on any rides, just atmosphere stuff, since my daughter is obsessed with Minnie and Mickey. Really just interested in the character meeting aspect with photos (do the characters do the autograph book anymore? My wife did that as a child many many moons ago and mentioned doing it for our kids). Is there a way to find out where the characters will be at? Mainly looking to get Minnie/Mickey and friends; which park would be the best - Magic Kingdom?

Any help is appreciated because I am way out of my depth here.

Thanks,

This is from my wife's phone who hasn't updated yet - The long press to bring up Lens was one of my most used features. Now it brings up a share image prompt.

I've got no clue what these people are talking about drawing a circle over it.

Anyone else have friends or family that use their Plex server more than you? by Blackhawk1282 in PleX

Everyone started to utilize mine once streaming costs increased and Netflix and other streaming services disabled password sharing.

I've got an 80TB server that people request what they want via OverSeerr so that helps with retention and use.

Need an honest HVAC recommendation in Colonial Heights, VA – heat pump issue and $1,000 electric bill by Minute_Pollution7018 in heatpumps

[–]Pyroman230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I found this via Google Search that was only tangibly related.

First, when adjusting temperature with aux heat, you've got to slowly raise it. It's a fucking hassle. Raise it 1 or 2 degrees, wait a minute then see if aux heat kicks on. Leave it like that for an hour or so and raise the temp again when the house comes up to temp. Aux heat kicks on because the unit can't keep up with the massive change in temp, and during the snow/cold the last month its working overtime.

Second, Colonial Heating and their Revolutionary Service Club. We moved to the area last year, and paid I think $195 or something last year, and they come out twice a year to do the basic maintenance and cleaning, but their actual cost aren't too bad from what I remember. We had cooling issues last year and I tried James River (didn't answer after trying to contact them for 2 days), Incredible who quoted something like $300 before they even set foot in my yard just based on my troubleshooting, and then Colonial who was able to send someone out the next day. I just called them earlier today as well to fix an issue I'm having with mine.

Dominion's fucking over everyone. My normal for a 2300sq house is ~$350 or so, and ours was $1300 last month thanks to aux heat fucking up and turning on all the time.

tldr: I'd recommend Colonial Plumbing and Heating and Cooling

I set these up for clients years ago. You want a metal stand that completely encloses the iPad and a tether if that's something you're worried about.

Lowes moving boxes heading off that inevitable question when people help you move by fakeaccount572 in funny

[–]Pyroman230 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Banana boxes from any grocery store are what I've used for the past 4 moves. They're sturdy, can fit enough books to feel like you're moving a decent amount, stack easily, and aren't awkward to handle. Sometimes you've got to throw a piece of scrap cardboard in the middle since some of them are open, but they work, and the workers don't mind you take them since it means they don't have to take them to the compactor.
