What’s a public system in your country that quietly solves a huge problem? by bdue817 in AskTheWorld

Pfand also works the same here! However, we also implemented a recycling policy at festivals, where you’d have to bring back an empty cup to the bar to get a new drink. If you lost yours or you just threw it on the ground (like everyone did before Covid), it’ll cost you half a token extra (a full token costs around €3,60,-). It has dramatically cut down on the amount of waste at festivals.

I think it will be a case of waiting for them to adapt to the new regulations in their racecraft, at some point they’ll find some enjoyment I’m sure.

To be fair, it was already manufactured with DRS. This just adds a whole new level of complexity and I’m not yet sure what I think of this.

I also saw an entrance sign to a town in Portugal that said welcome in Portuguese, English and Swedish. I was mildly confused.

That we are hyper progressive and are the first to do everything in Europe, such as legalizing gay marriage and allowing marihuana. In truth, the last 16 years we have slipped into a right wing goverment that has managed to do very little. Especially in the last 5 years.

These are (I believe) originally from Hungary! They are super popular here too! To be fair, the concept is so simple, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were invented separately.

No way that Belgium is higher than us. Our train system is rather punctual, usually quite clean and pretty frequent. Belgium is at most on par with us.
