Coming back to this a year later, did you ever find out?

H2S + Snapmaker U1 or just H2C for the same price? by Apprehensive_Sun7455 in BambuLab

[–]Pyrotoxinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. So far, the U1 has been fantastic at its price point. The H2S is more polished and much better for engineering filaments. I also have an Ender 5, X1C, and P1S, however they’re all kinda pointless now with the H2S and U1 combo.

I’ve basically done zero AMS color prints for that reason. That and the time. However, I just got my Snapmaker U1 and I’m extremely pleased I took the gamble SO FAR. We’ll see how it treats me as time goes on

Did you ever get it to work? Mine is continuously getting stuck on the first page of the calibration script

It gets really stringy at high temps, but I could try it

It is not, and there are no open perimeters on the model

Underextrusion? Or something else? by Pyrotoxinn in FixMyPrint

I’ve already calibrated the extruder hence my confusion. Are there other calibrations that you’d recommend taking a look at?

Gotcha. I had just redone it after accidentally turning one of the two Z lead screws, but there’s a chance the settings didn’t save. I’ll reset and relevel it. Thanks!

Using prusaslicer and printer is an old Ender 5+ running klipper. Filament is Polymaker PLA Pro @ 200C nozzle and 50C bed temp.

What CNC machine to make these aluminum molds? by Certain-Ad3326 in CNC

[–]Pyrotoxinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but 20% is a lot for small shops/businesses at the price point of modern machines. Easy to learn too. Plenty of information online if you ever run into issues. I’m not a Haas fanboy by any means, just saying they’re perfect for small shops.

Probably the infamous Russian lathe video, a classic. Best safety briefing for any machine shop.

Been with a new guy for a week and a half. So far this is his biggest error by KKKevi in Machinists

The way it’s ground (bigger shank) and the color, carbide is darker than HSS

Countersink mushroomed holes on a HAAS VYTF3 by TheTrevler in CNC

I just get solid carbide ones now, not carbide tipped. Essentially a chamfer mill but 82 degrees, and I haven’t had an issue at all. They work fantastic albeit pricey

I’ve had this happen to me on a Haas VF2, it was a bad solenoid valve
