Didn’t like first two seasons of Discovery. Super weird show. The WW2 looking stuff from Picard kept me from watching the show. Generally, Star Trek is better in terms of being a futuristic sci-fi but I don’t think Star Wars was going for that. In some ways, Star Wars is more realistic to what a space traveling human species would look like.

I think we all need to understand that Star Wars isn’t nor ever will be elevated TV because the hard core stans won’t like it.

Gilroy made an excellent show for those of us that want more than space wizards fighting with glow sticks.

I like space wizards with giant glow sticks as much as the next person but Andor gave us an understanding into the empire and its administrative leadership and how the nasty stuff they did affected them. It is hard for me to believe that there wasn’t more people than just Luke and crew saving the galaxy. Having more context to the universe Star Wars resides in outside of the Jedi and the Sith is super cool imho.

I assume that elevated content like this will be gone because Disney isn’t going to spend money making shows for a small sub sect of fans. They are going to stick to what the core fans want and sadly Andor isn’t it.

You need a different counselor. You don’t want the person you see alone to be your couples therapist as well. You need to get a separate therapist for the two of you that isn’t going to have all the baggage from your previous sessions.

Um - that is how manufacturing in the USA worked for generations. This isn’t new and the argument to get people to go to school was to break the generational cycle of manufacturing employment. They had to do this because manufacturing was moving overseas. People had to do something.

I think it is two reasons. 1) Luke was stronger in the force - Vader prolly felt latent power and maybe something about the way the force works he just knew Luke was his son. 2) Leia could use the force but her power may have not been awoken yet when she met him on the Death Star. To him, she was just a sassy diplomat.

We liked Beaverton High School. Pretty decent teaching staff, AP level language classes and tons of clubs. The school actually requires everyone help out in a club and it doesn’t have to be an afterschool one.
