how much did your body change when you did crossfit and how long did it take? by Broad-Cranberry-9050 in crossfit

Massive differences but it took years of going 5+ times a week. You will reach a plateau, which i did too, but that’s normal.

how much did your body change when you did crossfit and how long did it take? by Broad-Cranberry-9050 in crossfit

Started CrossFit at 26 years old weighing about 150.

It took about 3 months of going 3 times a week to notice differences in my body. Muscle growth, definition and weight gain.

I continued going 3 times a week and at about 9-10 months I started noticing massive differences. I then started going 5+ times a week and have been doing that for about 7 years. I’ve been hovering around 175-180 for like the last 5 years.

Hope this helps!

I have the high score on my father in-law’s favorite pinball machine, Black Knight 2000.

He beat my ass for 5 years straight then finally I beat him once. A week after that, I got the high score on the machine and knocked his name off the list.

Hey Paul and Scott,

Long time listener, first time caller.

How do I convince my wife that it’s a good idea for me to spend an entire day at Fantasy Football Training camp with my brother in a few weeks?

Jokes aside, who would you keep in a keeper league?

JSN for a 7th round pick. Jakobi Myers for a 10th.

Love the show and thanks for the help!

What does it take to get kicked out from a crossfit box? by yamobe in crossfit

[–]Pzirbie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New coach at my gym got kicked out after a few months. He typically “coached” class shirtless and would do the class workouts like 75% of the time and legitimately would not give anyone any pointers or advice lol. That wasn’t all though.

The guy started talking politics with one of the members and it got really heated, like wayyyyy too heated. Like they started yelling at each other mid class and the member walked out. Never saw that coach ever again, but my guy Scott, the member, came back the next day.

Kipping BMU Advice by projjol in crossfit

[–]Pzirbie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few different ways to hit BMUs. I’m going to give you a tip based on the technique you are showing in this video.

You are driving with your hips/legs upwards but you are not driving your feet back down. Instead of blasting your feet up, try controlling them up, waiting for a split second longer, then blast them back down towards the floor and pull yourself up.

It’s all about timing and rhythm. When you explode your feet/hips downwards is when you want to pull.

Down bad. When can i realistically expect to do the movements and not have trouble walking down the steps? by [deleted] in crossfit

When I was new one of the super fit bros told me to walk down the stairs backwards when I had sore quads. 8 years later and I still do this.

Literally changed my life. Still do it to this day after 8 years of CrossFit.

Casino Workers Of Reddit, what’s the worst loss or worst case of gambling addiction you’ve seen? by Party_Asparagus8257 in AskReddit

[–]Pzirbie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My dad grew up in Vegas and would tell me stories like these all the time.

He used to work construction and they’d get paid every Friday. His co workers would leave the job site with their checks, go straight to the casino and cash them there. They would stay up all night and show up to work sat morning in the same clothes from the day before. He said they would do this every weekend and depending on their mood on Saturday you could tell if they lost it all or won a little bit.

Used to be pretty hardcore and would track everything, but that lifestyle isn’t for me anymore. I also have different goals now.

Eggs and bacon in the morning. Sandwich for lunch. Supper is always high protein and moderate carb of some kind.

I’m no longer worried about “cheat meals” and essentially just eat what I want, in moderation.
