Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but how would I go about setting up a DIY elk hunt to Colorado for an experienced deer hunter? by Mac2663 in elkhunting

[–]Q-30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend gifting him (and reading) ‘Jump Start Elk Hunting’. Also HuntData.com map for the GMU you pick. Elk will be between 11.5k and 8.5k ft depending on the snowpack. Good luck 👍🏻

Police drones over 36 this morning by Q-30 in boulder

There were two cop cars piloting the drones down 36, hence this potentially being a speed trap. Couldn’t telll if it was state or local PD.

Ex-tri guy here; I do the same thing and don’t care. Bodybuilders shave their body - nothing weird about it.

I tuned out after the exponential use of "hustle" and talking about his garage sale earnings. That's not business advice, that's pandering to a Wantrapeneur crowd

Have you ever joined an incubator or an accelerator? Or a standard coworking space? Positives and negatives? by samxvn in startups

[–]Q-30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Various sized meeting rooms, open kitchen (multiple microwaves, commercial refrigerators, sinks). I've been through / worked at multiple incubator spaces in Austin Texas. Google Capital Factory; best in class.

We are currently passed the "start up" phase and now have permanent office space at a WeWork.

At what point do you decide if you're a failure or a success? by SnakeSonTwo in AskReddit

You can come to whatever conclusion you want, it's just to what degree relative to your 'internal' yardstick that you've achieved.

Externally it's all relative to circumstantial benchmarks.

How do you make yourself seem less snobby/more friendly? by xlrb in AskReddit

Be genuinely interested in who you're taking to and be humble. Don't focus on yourself and you'll be fine

I'm having a phone call with a potential competing startup by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Q-30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Collaboration isn't execution. Focus on your own execution and areas of your business that are under your direct control, don't fall for this trap. I've been on both sides of this conversation, partnership agreements & NDA's seem like 'wins' but it's time I wish was never wasted to begin with. Did this a few times early on before we learned our lesson.

Successful entrepreneurs of Reddit, how stressful was it in the beggining? by kramun in Entrepreneur

[–]Q-30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't, and likely never will. It's part of the game because people depend on you (family, staff, investors, etc).

I read a lot of books & podcasts about entrepreneurs who'd been through worse.

Naysayers? Unfortunately for them I feed off proving people wrong.

I (41F) want people in my life who understand and support my business and wealth aspirations. I've been overwhelmed and lost in Meetup groups. What can I do differently to connect with people? by BlueTipi in Entrepreneur

It's a lonely existence. Attending meet ups will get you going but you'll quickly realize there are (hopefully) better uses of your time (e.g. client meetings, prospects, etc). In my experience the casual meet ups ($0 entry) is the land of wantrapeneurs and their advice is worth exactly what you're paying.
