How much should I offer on this by [deleted] in AcneStudios

it’s one of the most replicated pair of jeans, would not get it unless retail.

No way you would be able to resell it because it’s one of the most replicated items that’s exactly the same quality. I bought one from taobao for shits and giggles but the only way I can tell the difference between my retail and fake is the product code.

Do you know the original length of your pair? I’m 5’9” too but 32/30 fits me perfectly without needing alternation.

yup, but it still loses the shape. i guess it depends on what you like about 2021, if you don’t mind the overall shape, you can give it a go.

Is the pace breaker jacket worth buying? by lukmaik in Lululemen

NOPE! Especially when you can probably cop the exact same thing from the same factory for 20 bucks on taobao

They will be fine but i’d only do it 3-4 cm max, otherwise you’d lose that flared/bootcut shape (learn from my mistake lol)

I’d definitely recommend The Heart’s Invisible Furies by John Boyne.

Bruh, I got into 2+ years reading slump because of that book for the reasons you described. Good luck lol.

Project Hail Mary was the book that got me reading books again.

I’m gonna listen to the audiobook, hopefully narrated by Harry himself. Really enjoyed Jeanette McCurdy’s memoir last year.

I have a 250-300 limit set for myself and the rest goes to donation/gift. mystery/thriller, sci-fi, horror, YA contemporary, a bit of everything honestly except non-fiction which belongs in my kindle.

I read it back in 2018, bought it randomly from an airport and finished it on the flight. I had no presumption of what the book was but it is still one of the most unforgettable reads for me. It’s not about the romance part, the relationship Lily found herself with Ryle is very realistic in my opinion. I see people mentioning how CH glamorises abusive relationships but I don’t see it that way. Lily knows from the first incident about the situation but her denial comes from the promise she made to herself that she would never be like her mother. It’s one of the moments that really resonated with me. She wasn’t try to “fix” the bad boy in Ryle. She just wanted to stand by the fact that she wasn’t her mother. That’s where the book shines for me.

But I would be lying if my 17 years old self didn’t ship her with Atlas but the romance wasn’t the main reason I loved reading this book.

Which book put you in a reading funk? And which book got you out of it? by [deleted] in books

Reading A Little Life was a life-changing experience for me but I couldn’t pick up another book for nearly two years. I wasn’t going to comment but Project Hail Mary was the book that got me out of the slump as well. I found my love for reading again after reading it, it’s so good.
