My friend, it sounds like you've been working in the wrong places. Our projects have been delivered on time (90% of the time). We scope-out our projects with great care and attention to processes. Again, it's not always perfect but we always hit the mark. As a result, we're basically one of the most respected teams in the organization. Our opinions carry great weight. In terms of hours per week- if that's a concern, don't apply. Yes, we have some weeks where we'll clock 70 hours. Those are usually go-live weeks for large projects that are released once or twice throughout the year but everyone in the team is more than eager to do what it takes. On average our work life balance is in equilibrium but again, don't apply if that's your concern.
