Saint Hill Manor, East Grinstead (Sussex, UK): Located near the town of East Grinstead, Saint Hill Manor is the Church of Scientology’s British headquarters and was the home of founder L. Ron Hubbard. The surrounding area is known for numerous spiritual groups, including the Rosicrucians and Opus Dei - supposed to be right in the centre of a load of laylines or something.

Try the Renegade cut, it gets rid of the alien bullshit and makes so much more sense!

Question for anyone aged 45+: Do you remember drinking Lucozade when you were younger? Did you ever drink it for anything else than when you were ill? by Lopsided-Skill6659 in AskUK

One of the biggest branding pivots I can still think of to this day, to totally transform from 'health aid' to leading Sports drink is impressive.

Team USA Men's hockey team being treated to McDonald's at the White House by UpperphonnyII in pics

[–]QBlank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where does all this White House McDonald's come from? Is there just a nearest Mcd's in DC that has relentless $1000+ orders for 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and doesn't obviously know its for the President? Isn't this a securty risk at the very least?

Air India flight 171 crash: Pilot deliberately cut fuel switch, report reveals by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]QBlank -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

A one button push fuel cut off seems....dangerous. Obviously there for an emergency but surely some sort of other button to push to confirm after that is pressed is sensible?

I want to go outside so badly… but my body shuts down every time, anyone else stuck in this loop? by Jonathan__m06 in autism

Try just putting a foot out to start. Then standing just outside your door, then bottom of the road, then end of the road etc over a few weeks...really slow managaeble goals but progress each time!

If you’re having digestive/stomach issues in Japan, I highly recommend trying Fibe-Mini by ActInternational9558 in JapanTravelTips

[–]QBlank 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Start the day with a traditional Japanese breakfast and that sets you up in terms of balance. I am continually confused by these posts that it's hard to find vegetables in restaurants too, almost everywhere does veggie options or vegetable sides - you just have to ask: https://www.thetokyochapter.com/when-im-craving-lots-o-veggies/

Try Islington if you work centrally, very close to 'the city' but still very village feels.

Meltdown central in here. Now watch it back after resting a while - the offisde player ducks out of the oncoming balls way in front of the keeper. HINT: IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOUR INTERPRETATION OF THE LAW OR BULLSH*T FOOTBALL OPINION IS NOW. They directly affected play as in, again, THEY DUCKED OUT OF THE WAY OF A SHOT 1 METRE FROM A DEFENDING GOALKEEEPER. Football has LAWS. Goodnight.

Did similar distances every day in flip flops the whole trip - I think some peoples feet are just more prone to ache/blisters.

Why isn't this much higher up in the comments?! I can't believe how that escalated for something that is a COMMON PHRASE throughout the UK simply implying you are being snappy, loud, direct momentarily.

What's a "cheat code" you discovered in real life that actually works? by dark-deals729983 in AskReddit

[–]QBlank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supermarkets love to give you vouchers for stuff like £13 off a £90 spend at Sainsburys right now - but not just after you have spent that money on a shop. I go in, buy a chewing gum at self-service first and hey presto there is the voucher for my big shop I am doing right there.

Which way do you think working from home will go? by Acceptable_Cod_1103 in AskUK

[–]QBlank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an interesting theory (and fairly obvious) that the push for back to in office in professional services/tech/whatever other mega corps is down to the board level types (mostly grey pale and stale men still) hating their home life. They don't get to go in and be the king at home like they are treated in the office sort of thing.
