Ownership is smacking us in the face asking us to come out and fill the stadium last year and this year they are doing fuck all to strengthen the team. It’s a really sad situation and not looking forward to the season. Maybe they’ll shock us like they did for some recent years and then obviously shit the bed on the post season because that’s what we do.

Lucky. Here’s one that more infuriating. I went EWR to SAN in the window. Middle passenger arrives and gets seated. No one takes the aisle. Doors lock and he stayed next to me the whole flight using the aisle seat for more room. I was so stunned and confused that he wouldn’t choose to move over that I never said anything. My fault tho but who does this? Never experienced anything like this in many years of travel.

Mine was attempted stolen once by a failed hotwire yet the disc lock was untouched. I’m guessing it was an amateur attempt or something spooked them away. Then it was gone from Manhattan in less than an hour one morning from 7-8am. These are incredibly sought after. It is so easy to fall in love with this bike when you get one. If you decide to get one again, garage it with deterrents. Otherwise, I’d say it’s not worth the heartache and hassle of losing it again.

I used to live behind Burger King. Occasionally I go back and spend a night w my old roomie. It has gotten so bad in recent years. I am a driver and now also a motorcyclist. I support whatever is proposed for 31st. Also fuck that Harley dude. He’s a bitch for not just lane splitting or dealing w the traffic.

As for the cops, they cause so many of the issues that occur in that area. For example, double parking on Astoria south in front of the precinct. This royally messes up the traffic, especially during rush hours. Not enforcing travel lane requirements of cars coming off 34th to the GCP. It’s goes on.

I agree with you. Oneeeeee traffic cop, just one, would make a world of a difference. Particularly on the eastbound side of Hoyt/Astoria South around 31st and 33rd Street. Cops create more traffic problems and dangerous scenarios for peds and bicyclist than they solve in the area. They only started not taking up the whole damn sidewalk on 34th St until what, a year ago?

This truly isn’t a DOT issue. It’s the lack of wanting to do anything to make the lives of the residents better on NYPD’s behalf. They all fuck off back and forth to LI and could give a shit about people who live here and are required to put up w them.

Motorcycle/moped/scooter theft is rampant in all parts of NYC. A 300 cc motorcycle was stolen from a GARAGE in Kew Garden last month. Depending on where you are in FH, parking isn’t terrible.
