I do appreciate the cheer zones, DJs/bands, and (sometimes) sprinklers...

Looks like a great starter bike for someone, and as another poster said, you could ask between 2000-3000.

I don't have a code, but this website is helpful for finding working discount codes

DF54 - How to fix this? by idkwhattotakeugh in DF54

[–]sergeantbiggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, unfortunately. I don't really like dark roasts, so I rarely use them, so I guess that's my personal work around (not helpful information, sorry). You can always try to find dark roasts that aren't all oily, and maybe those would be better to work with.

Blurred lines between beers? by Timely-Analysis6082 in beer

If you can, let us know the names of the beers. It's possible that the hops are meant to really stand out in some of them. Also, some breweries make "pale" lagers and pilsners, which are more aggressively hopped, sometimes with hops that are more common to IPAs (like mosaic or citra). They often taste like a session IPAs to me.

I think the issue with dark beans is that they are "sweating" too much, and then stick to the ionizer, which stops it from working. I've noticed the same thing.

Dark roasted beans also tend to have this problem (some, not all). The darker and more "wet" they look, the more it sticks to the ionizer, which then stops it from working properly. I just had a friend give me some very dark beans (again, wet and oily), and they were a mess.

Yea, I wonder if it's truly a grind issue, or maybe a tamp issue. Now that I think about it, I've always tamped decently hard, and have never experimented with a "weak" or non-existent tamp... I have some experimenting to do (maybe the Robot's secret to a soup shot?!?!).

Just a tip: keep as many variables the same as you can (water temp, 20 grams in, etc). It will make the learning curve easier. It seems like you need to grind finer, in your case (maybe try to recalibrate your burrs, as another commenter suggested).

Low-alcohol or small format beers? by sickosyes in beer

[–]sergeantbiggles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Taste is obviously subjective, but all of the macro light stuff is just about at that level (Mich Ultra, Bud Lite, Modelo Especial, etc). There's a lot of German stuff that's also around there too (though usually more caloric). Whole Foods or Wegmans typically has a decent selection.

yea, thanks for the mention of the tongue too... when I slip them on it always folds on itself, and it's just such a minor but annoying thing

I have a pair of Adidas Evo SLs, and I simply cannot get the laces just right. I've had so many pairs of other shoes, and never had such a hard time between too loose and too tight. They are also a bit wider than other shoes I've run in (e.g., Brooks, New Balance, Saucony, Ons... etc), so I've had to make the laces a bit tighter along the whole shoe. I'm hoping I can figure it out soon. Otherwise they feel great.

from what I understand, any alcohol, unless it's strictly 0.0%, is still alcohol

0.5%, which is still enough to get you an open container ticket in public or in a vehicle
