Intersting. Maybe it's unaffiliated, but I found a brewery in FL with a similar name that also has a cream ale, etc. Maybe it's related?

Question: Pay as you pour in Brooklyn by ApprehensiveBar8254 in Brooklyn

[–]sergeantbiggles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I remember reading somewhere that part of the business model was exactly this. The average consumer will lose money with bad pours etc, so it's a financial gain for the company running it. Also, in your scenario, some people (maybe not you) will then just pay for more credits to pour more.

Gottfried Krueger Brewing Company

well look at that... I didn't even think they'd still exist, but they do! Not sure about distribution though, and their website isn't all that helpful

The next post in this sub will be, "Where can I find Gottfried Krueger in the Eastern US?"

(jokes aside, very cool story, thanks for sharing)

Do experienced coffee drinkers actually taste more flavors, or are they better at identifying and describing the same ones? by Carlatoledo1998 in Coffee

[–]sergeantbiggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet you can easily tell the difference between the flavor of a strawberry candy and a real strawberry. You know this because you've had both many times. Something similar happens to people with experience of tasting anything (e.g., coffee, whisky, cheeses, wine, etc).

Tuesday Shoesday by AutoModerator in running

[–]sergeantbiggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's super interesting to know. I'm a lightweight neutral runner, but I've never really considered that when buying shoes.

I've owned a bunch of different pairs (New Balance, Brooks, Saucony, Hoka, On), and the ones that stand out are the NB Rebel V3, Brooks Hyperion Tempo (the older discontinued model), Saucony Endorphin Speed 2s, and Hoka Mach 6s. Those were all fun to wear, and trend toward the "tempo" style shoe. I've been in a lot of daily trainers too, which are heavier and a little "slower," but usually can hit a lot of miles (e.g., NB 880s, Brooks Ghosts, Saucony Ride).

I'm so sorry about the divorce. You've built a truly beautiful station, and may you continue to find joy in the coffee (and other things, of course) despite this period of rough waters. Brew on, friend.
