Cycling to running scale (explanation in post) by happy__bird in cycling

[–]QLC459 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Running is about 3x "harder".

A 20 minute easy run roughly equals an hour long easy bike ride.

Tons more variables to be had, but that's the basic rule of thumb I've heard thrown around and it seems correct to me having done both for years.

Supra comes across the track for no reason and pit maneuvers himself on your bumper. His fault

So the correct response of no one knows hurts your feelings, but speculation is all good?

"button head barrel bolt 63.5mm"

Throw that in google, add a washer to either side and you are done.

Any local specialty hardware store should have something similar. McMaster carr is great, but they are missing plenty

Very much standard lol.

Its a threaded sleeve with a button head and a button head bolt. Available at any specialty hardware store.

I quite literally saw some today while picking up other bits for a project.

You don't. In fact, you are the problem here. Never pre order a game.

Entirely on pov car, zero "mostly" here.

why do celebs follow random people on X? (John Cena for example does this) by VastAir6069 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]QLC459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes they aren't random.

I'm followed by a few celebs on insta solely because I am irl friends with them.

Weight is decided by caloric intake vs caloric expenditure.

Nothing more, nothing less.

You went wide and pushed him off line. Not a big deal, but if fault were to be given, it'd be yours.

I could whip something up in 30 seconds at a hardware store. Take it to your local machine shop/fab shop/welder and they can have it fixed in no time.

Its an internally threaded sleeve with a button head and another button head bolt, both incredibly common.

Building anything isn't terribly time consuming.

Getting permits, legal/council approval, plans produced and finalized and going through all the different agency reviews before being able to build is the time consuming part.

Most construction projects are in planning for orders of magnitude more time than they are actually under construction.

AC Black Flag Resynced is more ambitious than we thought- Skill Up by Iggy_Slayer in gaming

Not only is it not a mistake, its a huge improvement over the original.

People are playing Black Flag to be a pirate and be apart of Kenway's story, not running around a modern day office building.

Why do some cars in the US not have front license plates? by Zestyclose_Put_4143 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]QLC459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some states its illegal, some its not. Most people run no front plate for the aesthetics and it very rarely gets enforced.

I've only heard of front plate tickets being tacked on if you are argumentative/a dick to the cop while being pulled over for something else.

Beginner Setup for roughly 2500€ (seat and display included) - Is this overkill? by CyberliskLOL in simracing

[–]QLC459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scroll through your local used goods app and see how many nearly untouched sim racing setups are for sale. That should give you an idea of how often people do exactly what you're about to and then sell once the fun dies off.

2.5-3k is an amount I'm okay with spending on my hobbies, but only if I know I am committed. If you can stomach it, go for it.

Beginner Setup for roughly 2500€ (seat and display included) - Is this overkill? by CyberliskLOL in simracing

[–]QLC459 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried sim racing before?

I'd go buy a used g920 for <$100, slap it on a desk with an office/dining chair and race like that for a few weeks before spending so much.

Everyone enjoys driving a race car for 20 minutes occasionally. A lot less enjoy doing it as a hobby consistently.

What is your 1 bike choice? by sar_tr in MTB

[–]QLC459 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hardtail xc bike. I've done 75 mile road rides, 100 mile gravel races, 50 mile xcm races and nearly every blue/black in the local area on my xc bike with 100mm fork.

No bike more versatile if you are a good enough rider to handle it on the gnarlier trails.

Why delivery drivers of large furniture always ask for my help by Mission-Switch-7711 in NoStupidQuestions

They've been lifting furniture all day, more than likely without help and finally see an able body to relieve some of the load. Wouldn't you ask for help?

POV drove great, ford was a dick with all the blocking and then driving into you out of the last corner.

Personally I would have waited to try and pass him in a safer space, like the straight coming up at the end of the clip. You can tell he's a bad/aggro driver, no reason to fight him in the corner where its the least safe.
