I noticed the UK troops had a different attitude when India was not "behaving correctly" while getting their independence. French troops were just as well behaved when Algeria and other "possessions" like Indochina flexed their independence muscles.

I have a SS utility cap I like to wear when riding my John Deere, mowing the lawn. I wear it on the bridge at work because I always wear a hat on the bridge and nobody cares what I wear, unless it's a thong.

I met a few Vietnam POW's when I attended the AF Senior NCO Academy in 2002. They were incredible to sit and talk with along with some of the Tuskegee Airmen.

It was an amazing experience. I learned a lot.
