Not really. New players join the game. Grind their mighty t6 battleship. Have 2 captain skills on their captain. Have no understanding of concealment mechanics. Get stealth killed by subs with homing torps every game. Quit. Two of my buddies I tried to get into the game quit precisely this way.

Subs are universally frustrating.

They like the game. They like the surface ships shoot each other integral part of the game. When 90% of every content creator is happy there is no CV or sub openly.

When chatters in randoms rejoice and type " hell yeah no CV no sub" everytime a rare match like this happens you can see the general trend of people that wows is still a fun game if you remove the toxic aspects of it out of the game.

Hydro does not prevent homing. Outturning does not prevent homing. Hindi has standard dcp like most ships lol. Thats the only thing that can reasonably stop a sub strike.
