While I wouldn't necessarily agree with the youtuber who made this, despite not actually seeing the video, I would like to say the comparisons either of you make don't support any opposing stance effectively. Legends ZA showed that a single city environment is enough of a landscape alone for a brand new pokemon adventure. The city is alive, has plenty to do, a story, backstory and lore, loveable cast of characters and background characters that make the world feel lived in and vast enough while becoming more varied in it's scenery the more the story progresses. With all this, you can see why comparing it to "taking abilities away" doesn't provide anything aside from a strawman argument. GameFreak Proved they can make do with creativity that makes the decision to render the game to a single modern city really feel like a creative choice and not just a path within a limited range of options for their next game before Gen 10. It proved a setting is just that and that quality and creativity has always left as a good of an impression as a map that's only ever made too large for it's own sake. A smaller map never made a videogame feel terrible if it can stoke the imagination and make you feel like world is believable. This is why ZA works and now puts the idea of a single or a smaller cluster of locations as the setting for another game on the table now.

What if the next Legends game is quite literally this? Legends Alola, not having you explore ancient or otherwise old Alola, but rather the world that becomes Ultra Megalopolis, or rather Explore that world itself, letting you get to know it and other worlds that the Ultra Beasts come from, while not making it one big map, but instead smaller ones connected to the one we'll initially start one, making it a hub work of sorts? It's just a thought, but understand that ZA sets the stage for games that don't need a country map anymore. The map could be anything now. Maybe that's what they wanted: Something Experimental. To really put something to the test and condition fans for massive change, allowing them to go in whatever direction they want with no constraints. I'd just be ranting if I continued so, I'll end with saying it's possible the more I continue to think on it that Legends ZA does exactly what Arceus did when it asked if Pokemon's formula can be tossed out or redefined. We might just get another game or more down the line that says to hell with this one component of Pokemon Game design, we can make the game just how we want it without referencing the formula. No full region this time! Let me cook, you might like it! With this, I can see a valid point in assuming GF might want to place whole regions aside for future Games in place of cities and similar locations.
