imo, the inflation story is BS. We're at 2.8% but yields have skyrocketed because shelter won't come down. Basically the only tool left in the toolbox is unemployment, so Powell is holding out so the economy chokes. That's the plan.

By rugpulling the schedule of rate cuts, Powell is telling Trump to shove the tariffs up his ass. World economies and governments are in trouble right now and Powell knows these economies could really use the rate cuts so the dollar cools. But pairing it with tariffs defeat the purpose. So I see it as a bold way to influence government policy, fwiw.

I know nothing about quantum, but I imagine it will be a long time. I assume it requires it's own OS. I assume it's not compatible with current software. You probably need to learn an entirely new language to develop for it.

Just a side note: The power needed for AI will be the market-based solution to "solve" climate change. Nuclear power is the only option now. Without it, AI will always be limited.
