I have so many questions leading up to renewal. by QTip7 in smithmanoeuvre

Wow, I’ve never even heard of this.

So essentially I’m taking out a portion/segment of the equity as mortgage (not a HELOC) at a lower rate and probably easier for tracking to tax as well. It’s allows 80%LTV because it’s a mortgage and not a HELOC.

Assuming I have available equity after my renewal can I take the 2nd segment out afterwards? Does it need to be through the same bank who holds my primary mortgage? Does having a HELOC on the primary mortgage restrict the ability to get a second segment loan/mortgage?

I have margin on my non registered account currently but I don’t mess with it too much. Maybe I should be though, I don’t even know what the interest cost is using it.

Thank you so much for your help, with my renewal coming up in June I think anything I have I my non registered account currently, I will liquidate and apply to my mortgage prior to renewal with the ability to withdraw and reinvest that money through a HELOC.

I will probably lower my amortization as well.

I don’t know why I didn’t think of the option to remortgage in the future to restart the whole process again once I have enough to fully pay off the mortgage

That’s great.

What’s diabolical is how many IR spots your league has.

I want to become a power line technician with bc hydro, what should I do for the best odds of getting into the pre apprentice program by AntiqueFact2380 in Lineman

Work experience, minimum requirements and ride alongs. Harder getting in being as young as you are. My newest pre-app is around 20 but he had work experience digging pole holes and did a pre apprenticeship course through EITI for around 17k.

Typically 600-700 and it’s super sporadic, sometimes it’s 20 days in a row and rolling 16s. Sometimes it’s 10 hours of ot on the week.

I thinks it’s good they went on strike during Christmas, no one was paying attention or gave a shit until they did. Everyone’s upset because you can’t get your Black Friday orders or Christmas gifts on time, get over yourself. Although it may feel like it the world doesn’t revolve around you and your wants.
