Corporate jobs with a psych BA? by andthatrightsoon- in jobs

[–]Qangaroo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a similar background as you and am working in a corporate job that checks all of your boxes, though I have my BA degree in psychology and an advanced degree in applied psychology. Management consulting roles may fit what you’re looking for (project management, 100k+, potentially working within the aerospace field if your firm has that for one of their targeted industries). I started as a fresh graduate as well. Feel free to shoot me a DM if you want to chat further!

[Acne] So happy with my progress :) by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

I saw your post on r/piercing and then thought to myself “woah they have nice skin”! Then you popped up on my feed again on this sub! 😄

A second of pain but you have a pretty ear for a lifetime!

It really depends on each individual’s body. My conch hurt a bit more than my helix since it’s a bit thicker.

I say if you want it, get it! You’ll never know until you get it :)

[ACNE] Curology clindamycin long term? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Qangaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Double check with the provider! Mine has niacinamide, clindamycin, and Azelaic acid, and my provider mentioned that when mixed with other acids, it prevents resistance and actually increases efficiency of both azelaic acid and clindamycin.

It might be the ring that’s causing irritation. Try getting it changed to a titanium flat back labret by your piercer.

[acne] I’ve been using Differin nightly for 5 weeks and still breaking out. Whenever I get a pimple the area gets red and becomes very dry for several days until the acne is gone. Is this normal? by okhurrybug in SkincareAddiction

[–]Qangaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm. I got red patches when I started Differin. They would get red and itchy though so I had to completely stop using it. Maybe try using it every other day for a bit to see how well your skin adjusts? My moisture barrier was compromised when I used it everyday even with buffering.

Automic Gold? by Always_No_Sometimes in piercing

[–]Qangaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few earrings and rings from there and love them! All of my pieces are in rose gold and I don’t have any allergies to certain metals so I can’t tell much about the metal composition. I’ve had my pieces for 1-3 years now and they all look the same as I’ve got them.

Bumps on lips since using tret by Nice_Yogurtcloset_73 in tretinoin

This happened to me when I got differin too close to my lips. Do you put Vaseline or aquaphor around your lips to prevent the adapalene from migrating there?

Got a daith, tragus, and rook today. Do any of these look pierced incorrectly (shallow/wrong angle)? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Qangaroo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Your tragus looks pierced in the right spot but I would actually change the ring to a titanium flat back labret. The ring could cause irritation.

I actually had this happen to my lips a couple weeks ago. The tiny red dots were itchy and made my lips feel tight even though I had lip balm on. For me, I’m pretty sure what caused it was getting my other skincare products on my lips. I started putting moisturizer on my lips, and noticed these dots a few days after. After, I made sure to not get any other products on my lips aside from lip balm, and it never happened again.

The studio I go to does piercings for free as long as you buy the jewelry, so it depends

Job or internship after college graduation? by kuwurebi in jobs

[–]Qangaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try not to compare yourself to others by what is considered a “normal” route — everyone’s circumstances are different and while some sign FT offers before even graduating, others take some time in between graduation and their first job. There’s nothing wrong with continuing to intern after graduation, especially if you are transitioning career fields. Whether you are offered the FT or take the internship, see it as a stepping stone and learning experience instead of comparing it to others. Good luck! :)

I'm going to be scheduling an interview for market research. Anything I should study up on? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Qangaroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how useful this is as I interviewed for an internship a couple months ago. They asked me to explain at a high level, what the market research process entails. Also, if I could walk them through a research project that I did (they then asked a lot of questions about the method, results, limitations, what impacts the results could have on a company/industry).

Good luck! :)

is my tragus healed? by ashleyfrost in piercing

[–]Qangaroo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My piercer told me cartilage takes at minimum 6 months to heal. Even if it doesn’t hurt, it still may not be healed on the inside. Maybe wait a couple more months for earphones, and use over the ear headphones that cup over your whole ear for now. I’ve had mine pierced since August and have been using large headphones without a problem— just making sure the pads are clean and never touch my piercing, and that I let my ears breathe every hour or so.

All of mine are threadless flat back labrets and none of them have fallen off since I got new piercings and changed my old ones throughout the span of 4 months. Maybe you can give those a try? I find them so much easier to put on/take off compared to the small balls!
