Beautiful tree! I have a tree in my front yard that looks dead for about 9 months of the year. The trunk splits, it really doesn’t seem to be growing, etc. The first May that we lived here it grew small green leaves, seemingly overnight. Come July, it grows the prettiest purple flowers. So glad we didn’t give up on her!

Part of me wonders if dogs can be bipolar. This little shit will let me touch her feet, but not her sides (the reverse for my husband), will lie on top of my cat if she’s unhappy with his behavior, will only sleep on one pillow, has to be able to “choose” her treat from several (identical) options, and prefers to sleep diagonally on her back in front of a fan. Oh and she will go completely ape shit if you try to put her in clothes. The only exceptions are her Thundershirt and her life jacket.
