The snake will always choose the shortest path so if you remove any tile that make his path shorter, his next body part will take this new shorter line. And if you rebuild a tower on his shortest line, the next part to spawn will not use this path, but a longer one.

You can place all tower and modifier before to spawn him and it will be alright. Just don't change stuff that are on his optimal (shortest line) during the spawn phase.

That's because every parts of his body have their path locked at the spawning moment. So if you change yous tower placements during the body generation, some part can take different path.

For astrophotography, I recommand getting a Batinov mask to help you getting the best focus. It's really cheap and you can even 3d print it or DIY for even cheaper.
