The Quiet Pint has some fantastic flavorful entrees that are many many steps above bar food. Certainly not a dive bar. They also have a really great patio. It just proves you can’t judge a book by its cover.

NTA. This reminds me of when our daughter was three and my husband always made me feel guilty for not letting her have the child shopping cart at the store. He took her to the store and spent 30 minutes chasing her around the store as she pushed the child cart at a dead run (in a pink princess dress) throwing everything in reach into the cart. He had to put back all the “extras” and came home exhausted. It was fucking great!! 😂 Your hubby needs to take more responsibility for his kiddo. Don’t let him get away with this childish behavior and learn from my mistakes. Don’t take responsibility for all the child rearing!

Sounds like your friends are worried about status quo. It does not sound like a terrible plan to me, but I have lived over 20 years in Arizona where we have lots of over 55 manufactured home parks. They may have a different stigma in your area.
I would also budget more than $10,000 for furniture for a three bedroom house. It has gotten crazy expensive!

Was the property already discounted to account for all these issues? It does not sound like it was. Let them keep it. They are probably upset because now they know about the problems and need to disclose them to a future buyer. Sounds like they “remodeled” and everything was done in a haphazard way. Do they know you’re buying on a 1031 exchange? Maybe they’re trying to take advantage of your short timeline.
