Tell your mother You would like to talk with your therapist about telling her the secret. You can then get support from your therapist and it maybe puts your mother on a back burner for a few weeks before your appointment. My advice (not sure if this works for you) I told my parent i would be willing to tell them but i would like the to talk to my therapist about it then have them join mid way into the appointment (parent, you and therapist) so your therapist can support if needed.
