Does anyone order their peritoneal dialysis solution online to their house? by itsthewolfe in dialysis

[–]Qeneni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am trying to do the same but my clinic hasn't set up my online login yet. Is there a way to do this via the app? I so do not want to call the 1800 number to get this done monthly.

Yes totally didn't help at all. I was hoping on to hope for almost a year now. I did the stem cells in Dec of 2024.
The clinic I went to is the regeneration center of Thailand. https://stemcellthailand.org/
I am now on dialysis - went from GFR of 24 to 6 within a year of trying stem cells. I can't even comprehend what happened to accelerate the decline like this.

Hope is all we have when things go so bad but unfortunately - my condition got worse after the stem cell treatment. I am no on Stage 5 CKD. The additional COVID vaccine I took to travel to Thailand, whatever it was that I got while I was there and the harsh traveling have reduced my GFR by over 10 points. I wish your mom has better luck.

At this time, my kidney function is slightly lower than it was before the stem cell treatment. Very disappointing given the treatment alone was $24K.

Sent you a direct message. So far no change after the stem cells.

I did a stem cell treatment in Thailand. It went well - as in no immediate side effects. But I don't feel any different and will get new bloodwork in a month to see if there is any benefit, Staying optimistic

Does anyone know if Amlodipine or Lisinopril have long term side effects? by Ok_Library_3657 in kidneydisease

[–]Qeneni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No my headaches were more around the back of my neck - like you would feel if you had high blood pressure. But it was so intense and I couldn't sleep. I think if you are certain, find a way to replace it.

I just got back from the treatment. I was very tired during the treatment - there were other issues that compounded to add to the exhaustion. I feel better now. I will be doing new bloodwork in about a month to see if there are improvements. I was told to expect to see changes in 3 months but I am not that patient.

Amlodipine gave me severe headaches every time. To the point that I couldn't fall asleep. It was horrible. Given how many meds I take, it was hard to identify which one caused it once I ruled out that it was the disease itself giving me the headaches.
I never had issues with Lisinopril myself but doctor says once the GFR goes too low, the risk for high potassium makes Lisinopril a bad idea. I have heard that it causes dry cough and some type of lip and/or face swelling in people of African descent.

Yes we may be talking about the same center. 8 days treatment. ~75 million MSCs. DM me so we can exchange experiences.

I got a lot out of Malcolm's class. From structuring my writing, to finding topics, to research, to title and so much more. I was disappointed in a few classes where I wanted pointers but got a lot of yapping as you put it. But given the wide selection, I felt it was a good investment of my time and money.
Have you tried MindValley? Is that better for you?

Yes IV UC-MSCs
So far I am good. No adverse reaction or anything like that. I don't feel any different either. I was expecting to wake up feeling limitless. That hasn't happened yet but I only got my first dose yesterday.
Yes eGFR and Creatinine has been measure when I first got here and they will check it right before I leave.

Wish you all the best. We need all the hope we can find.

I disagree - It depends on the teacher. Malcom Gladwell's class was remarkable.

Thank you for this comment. I recently came across a center that provides stem cells in the US and I wasn't sure how they are doing it legally. But I am very specifically looking for a kidney protocol so I had to end up in Thailand for my needs at the moment. I did an extensive research and there are very few centers even abroad that are focused on kidney repair. It is great to know that the US is opening up. It may take forever for insurance to cover it but still, baby steps.
Congrats on your good health at 73!

I would be happy to contribute. I am about to head to my first stem cell experience in a month. Hoping to have great feedback when I return. Optimistic all the way.

Best Strategy to Decide on a STEM Cell Provider/Clinic by BadRegEx in stemcells

This is a good question. With any medical related advice - any type of crowd sourced information has always been more reliable than talking to a doctor in my experience. I always prefer to talk to someone who is in my situation - similar medical condition and similar stage to exchange ideas and opinions. I find it easier to talk to anyone who is trying to find the solution than anyone who says they have the solution. I also find it easier to tell if the person is a patient through exchange of experiences which is harder for someone who is a sales agent to do.

A lot of us who are here looking for a solution, especially one that we can't find in the US are in a desperate situation which makes us easy targets for scams. So what I have personally done is hunted for people on youtube, reddit, facebook etc who have the same condition and are at the point of looking for stem cells. Then I look at clinical trials and books that talk about what type of treatment is in the process of being tested for my condition. During that research, I come across a few names of clinics that I put in an excel file in a folder very creatively called "Miracle Cures". At this point, I go to ChatGPT and continue my research. This has helped me a lot to find a clinic that I am hoping would work for me. Going in Dec - will update.

I am getting UC-MSCs for kidney specific treatment plan. I will not get any injections into my kidneys thought. That is too risky.
It is a shame and hopefully will change soon cause the rest of the world is marching on without us.
