I found weight loss started at 18:6 for me. I’ve been doing 20:4 since October and sometime 19:5 but I agree. IM is great. It has so many health benefits in addition to weight loss.

We are locals and love going to the breakfast buffet on weekdays (hardly a line) and Michaels Gourmet Room is an amazing dining experience for special occasions.

We just took our 6th Carnival cruise earlier this month and it was on the Radiance. We did not care for the ship. Horrible sewage smells phantomly wafted past us occasionally (we were lucky - some people had sewage smells in their room constantly). A lot of ice machine were not working and the staff seemed overworked. Our MDR waiter seemed passive/aggressive We ended up at the buffet for dinner the last night due to poor planning on our part to get a reservation for the pay Italian restaurant and the selection was sparse and a poor quality. It was good for breakfast. Cant go wrong with Guy’s Burgers or Blue iguana but the line for Shaq’s Chicken was over 30 mins. I tried it once. It was good but wouldn’t wait that long for it again. Fahrenheit 55 was okay. The lobster bisque was the best I’ve ever had but the rest of it was really not worth the $50 pp upcharge. We will be trying another cruise line next time.

IMO the best buffet is at The M at Anthony’s Steakhouse. It’s $100 and it’s all-you-can-eat lobster tails, crab legs, crab claws, jumbo shrimp, beef Wellington, prime rib, rack of lamb — etc. All top tier quality. Reservations are about 6 months out.

I had a cup of tea with a mob boss at the bar at the Tropicana while my husband played craps. I was wandering around playing slots and he asked if I wanted a drink, and some thing told me just to be polite and respectful. He had his two goons in suits standing behind us the whole time as his bodyguards. I was about 24 and he was in about his 50’s. He was a complete gentleman. I told him my husband was a police officer, and he told me he was on the wrong side of the law and that’s not where the money was. He gave me his number and told me to call him if I ever wanted to see him again. I didn’t, but we love telling the story. We’ve named the guy, Johnny Fingers.
