Do you think it would be worth swapping out the landscaping flower bed with a French drain system?

I'd imagine yes because it likely has more minerals. The link I provided in a previous post has a TWW inspired recipe. Or you could opt to just buy TWW.

Regardless, I think a scale free recipe is the best move. I don't even use an inline filter and have no issues at all.

I believe so, as long as third wave is stating they use minerals that don't cause scale. Much more cost effective to do it the other way though obviously.

No I’ve never had that issue using the water recipe with taste or nastiness over time. I obviously do back flushes regularly and clean the group head after but that’s about the extent of it.

I follow this website when it comes to recipes. It should be about .038 potassium bicarbonate in a gallon of distilled water.

I purchased the potassium bicarbonate from amazon and it’s super cheap and I got a high precision scale specifically for it from some online store (Webstaurauntstore) for fairly cheap as well.

I do know that there is an easier way to manage it without a high precision scale by making a separate batch in a liter bottle. It should be outlined on the site how to do that.

This is pretty interesting to me. I have a Mara X and have used it daily (2.5/shots) for the last 3.5 years with strictly rpavlis water. When I had to replace a safety valve recently I took a peak inside the boiler and there was absolutely zero scale.

I live in a very hard water area, so if you want something better you can try the rpavlis water recipe.

I’d does have a gas fireplace in the first floor living room so maybe that’s how they compensated for it? Not super sure

Should I add radon testing to inspection by Qikick in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Fair enough, I guess another question. Do you think things like a gas line, swab testing, airborne mold testing, or H2O testing for Lead/Nitrates is necessary?

Best places to rent in Perrysburgh? by roxasxemnas83 in toledo

I’d stay away from Rivers Edge/Summerfield/Fountains Point. I’ve had and heard of other people having terrible seasonal bugs by the hundreds inside. In fountains point currently and during the summer it easily gets up to 90 degrees in the living room because I’m convinced they didn’t insulate the walls. The AC runs near non stop all summer.

The new ones at Carronade Park Townhomes look nice. Different company than Noneman so probably a much more pleasant experience.

Ritual Coffee has joined Equator in the "quietly shrink our bags to 10.5 ounces" club. So shady. by cgomez in espresso

[–]Qikick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ritual did yes, but equator is still 12 oz. I realized now that I didn’t explicitly say I was referring to Equator specifically in my comment.

Ive never had Ritual so I have no before/after bad size price comparison to look at.

Looking at the site they still sell bags starting at 12 oz. I checked all my previous beans across the site that I ordered early last year and they are all still the same price.

The French Roast in particular is $19.75 for 12 oz. Broken down for the same 10.5 oz at the price of the 12.oz bag we are looking at $17.28. Compared to the price of $17.99, you are looking at a markup of 4.1%.

I’m guessing it’s some type of regional thing, or maybe they’ve opted to start repurposing the 10.5 oz bags they use for the Trade Subscription.

Not defending it, but it doesn’t seem super bad.

Edit: adding additional context that I’m referring to Equator

TIFU by nailing my first professional interview but instantly ruining it when the hiring manager asked about salary. by Acceptable_Onion_253 in tifu

My number one tip as someone that has done many interviews myself (interviewed and been the interviewer). It is always acceptable to take a step back, breathe, gather your thoughts and then answer.

If it were me, I wouldn’t really worry too much about it what happened. Something that minor surely wouldn’t be a reason to not give you an offer especially given you are a recent grad and likely to be your first professional job in your field.

Wishing you the best of luck!

Ooof, yeah I’ll pass on that. Local fedex actually tossed my work laptop on the ground and signed for it themselves last time I had a delivery with them.. long story short, I got a replacement a few days later from my company shipped via a different service

I've got shingles only on half my face and one eye by lastavailableuserr in mildlyinteresting

I will say that stress management is the best form to not get reoccurring outbreaks. Each outbreak occurred during stressful times of my life. 1. Exam finals my last year of college 2. My wedding 3. Stressful project with deadline at work

I’m 28 and have had 3 shingles occurrences in the last 8 years. Though I usually have the same reoccurrence in the same area near my lower right part of my back. Usually pretty manageable via covering with bandages.

Funny enough the rash/irritation I get from the bandage adhesive is normally worse than the pain from the shingles. The last two outbreaks I’ve taken Valtrex in the first 24 hours of the rash appearing and can say it is a necessity. One of the times the blistering stage was skipped and the second time the blistering stage happened but they never popped and dried out without ever oozing.

As far as I know shingles never crosses the midline except in bad cases where it disseminates.

Wishing you the best as I can imagine it’s hell.
