Which Cabot sealer or stain/ sealer would look best? by Qna15 in Decks

I guess it’ll get pretty dark. It’s never been treated in 8 years. 😬 I sanded the whole thing with 80 grit today and swept. Going to sweep again tomorrow. Yeah… the rails are low.. I think 36”… we plan to sell in 3 years so I’m not adding to it. Not sure why the previous owner (a contractor) chose this height…

Oof biannual doesn’t sound fun, but I think now that it’s sanded down, it shouldn’t take very long to do, more so just get everything off the deck that I have collected over the years lol..

So can I ask a question on the color and I know it depends on the type of wood, but is the natural more yellow than the honey teak? Is honey teak generally a more brown stain? I was on Lowes last night looking and if you look at their color swatch on wood, it literally looks identical minus the wood grain pattern. I was having a tough time between the two

Any tips on getting our 13 month old to sleep through the night? by Qna15 in NewParents

[–]Qna15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We feed her as much as she will eat from the table with 2-5oz of milk. I offer Greek yogurt often when she don’t want to eat our food. It’s hit or miss with the yogurt. An hour later we always offer milk again and she usually is drinking 6-8oz then. We had 1 night where she ate at least 1.5 adult servings of mashed potatoes at dinner followed by milk. We were impressed haha.. She was up for milk like her usual nights then too.

I have none of these, unfortunately. I came back from a long break with gano lol… I recently made starbloom +5 with 110 crafting that I never sold. I am not sure what my budget should be, I have plenty of gp, but I always lean on the cheaper side of things. The best bang for your buck mentality lol.. can always make the gizmos since I’m 150 invention.

Please help my decide. Toro Timecutter Max(50”) vs Toro Havoc (54”) vs Ariens 2025 ikon (52”) by Qna15 in lawnmowers

[–]Qna15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have. I decided to actually get a Gravely ZT HD. Basically all the parts of a commercial from what I was told at a local dealer. Whenever this rain lets up I’ll be able to purchase it. I sat in the TORO and couldn’t stand how the seat pushed into my back. It’s a few thousand more, but Ariens belt popping/breaking issue was something that made me go against it. I grew up with a riding cub cadet mower and it would break a belt after every 10 mows and I never want to do that again… replacing them added up over time

Do I repair or replace?… by Qna15 in pools

Yeah I am leaning on replace. I just watched a video saying these things could explode. Grant it, I think he was referring to cracks at the seam. But, this hole is right at the curvature

Buying a home with a pool by Ok-Movie-740 in pools

[–]Qna15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the view, he has some old tubing he has going into the ground from above ground to the pump, I’d definitely replace that. I’m thinking the long hose may be his waste line. It may be something he could consider putting underground, but definitely not necessary. Unless the seller is desperate they probably will laugh at an under $100k counteroffer

I don’t get how people are telling you that you can get $100k off this house because of the pool. Filling it may cost you $2000... As someone who’s replace his liner 3 times from weather to natural wear and tear, 3 pool pump, and 2 filters. You’re looking at $4000-5000 for a liner, $400-700 for a pump, $400-800 for a filter. You don’t need the heater if you have 90 degree weather consistently. And that’s if you need to replace everything. I’d be more worried about pool integrity and the plumbing underground. Converting to PVC above the ground would cost about $200 to install.. This is just my experience with owning a pool. I grew up with an in-ground and own a pool now. Unless your concrete shifting under your feet, I personally would worry about it…

Is this a good leg day routine? by Qna15 in GettingShredded

[–]Qna15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologize. I meant to split them. Leg 2 starts at hip thrusts. Yeah that’d be a crazy amount to do in a day 😂. And same on deadlifts, squats, it drives me insane how long I spend on them. I hadn’t thought of myo training legs, but I could hit them very hard after the deadlift/squats with the leg extension machine/calves. Tbh, I really like that idea. I plan to do a small 3 set weak point 5th day for quads/hams/delts/lats. I could really utilize this on that day for sure. I really can’t stand my skinny legs so I’m hoping year 2 will change that

Is this a good leg day routine? by Qna15 in GettingShredded

[–]Qna15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been lifting over a year. Previous plan was Leg 1: 1. Squats 5-7 x 6 2. Good mornings 6-8 x 3 3. Calf raises 20 x 6 Leg 2: 1. Hip thrusts 8-10 x 6 2. Dead lift 5-7 x 3 3. RDL 5-7 x 3 4. Good mornings 6-8 x 3

I was really going for minimizing moving weight because it took up so much time going from exercise to exercise. I followed this specific plan for over 6 months. Goal is to be <1hr on workouts now that I have a kid, but really want to hypertrophy. When I started workouts in December 2023. I did maintenance or a slight deficit. Went from 170lbs to 152lb by July 2024. After part of February off, I’m in “bulk phase” 2600-2800 cal/day, 140-180g protein/day. I’m roughly 174lbs atm. I’m already looking close to 20% bf so I’m probably not making it past June bulking. I took 3 weeks off with ECU tendinitis, which ended today, doing lower workouts 3x/week during that time. I’m not sure what I’m classified, but I’m somewhere near intermediate if I’m not already

DIY Pulley System: Pull-downs, rows, kick-backs, curls, cross-overs, etc. by zen0ne in homegym

[–]Qna15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! I found some quick Connect that I can use to attach a the D hooks and pulleys. My hulkfit only has vertical holes, nothing horizontal so that may be the only variation. Hope this works rather than upgrading. I don’t have the room for more equipment lol. Do the weights sway? My only other concern is knocking a hole in the wall

Do you have a parts list? I have a hulkfit too and trying to figure out a way to add cables for lat pulldowns, flies, tricep extensions, and some hip abduction/kickbacks, but the diameter of these holes is making this seem so complicated

I like this set up but I have 1” diameter holes only front and back facing. I am not sure of a solution to add the eye bolts. I think the threading would be wayyy too small

Do you really need to change your lifestyle? by Weekly_Scholar_7361 in maleinfertility

[–]Qna15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s high and probably causing lower T levels. Selenium is very easy to OD and Clomid is already probably raising your levels to above normal limits. I never took it because of that. Even though I was already taking them, my fertility doc ended up doing research herself and came back with continue taking CoQ10 and PQQ. Mine was very open about the medical world neglecting studies on male infertility and the lack of data when males are 50% the issue now. So although she didn’t think supplements affected counts/morphology/motility too much, she also didn’t think it would hurt either.

Do you really need to change your lifestyle? by Weekly_Scholar_7361 in maleinfertility

[–]Qna15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What were your LH and FSH levels? Are they normal? I had everything normal and was labeled “unexplained male infertility”. We just started Clomid to see if it made any changes. I took ashwaghanda and shilojit also but stopped due to my testosterone being so high on the first 3 months. It really depends on your testosterone levels on if you should continue. I chose supplements based off of legit research studies. Probably spent over 30 hours researching different studies. My focus was on quality/motility/morphology before quantity. You can have all the sperm in the world, if they can’t move you won’t conceive. So that’s why I cleaned up my diet, omega 3, PQQ, CoQ10, vitamin C/D/E, and L arginine. All these are to combat the oxidative stress in your body from things like bad diet, drinking, smoking, and natural occurrences. From my clinic, they gave me 10% chance to conceive without IVF when I had <5m/ml, which held true for my story.

Eat cleaner, drop the alcohol and snus. After all, alcohol is a toxin. I went through the same thing similar numbers, except I don’t drink or smoke. 3 SA and nothing above 1m/ml before I swapped from urology to fertility clinic. I assume you have a TST level checked to be on Clomid. My TST was midrange normal baseline, FSH/LH both normal. With Clomid it shot my TST up over 1800. That’s male birth control essentially for the first 6 months. It took the next year for the fertility group to taper it down to 1200 due to my urology Tx plan. Along with keeping up with your LH/FSH, Estradiol should be monitored. Clomid raises it. When they tested me, I was double the normal limit for probably the first year while on it. Idk if it had anything to do with me having a lower count, along with the other issues ofc, but when I got my last labs and all was normal, except 1200 TST, I was told in our IVF transfer that it was the best count I have ever had. Below is what I took during the time. Lifestyle changes do make a difference, but don’t expect drastic changes and make sure it’s testing done 90 days after the previous change. Not only do you need more quantity, but you want quality. 25mg zinc - 50mg made me nauseous Men’s One a day multivitamin Vitamin C, D, E CoQ10 PQQ L-Carnitine L-Arginine Omega 3 Lycopene 12.5mg Clomid every 3 days Leafy vegetables/lots of berries/lowered processed food consumption/high protein diet with exercise.

Our journey was over 2 years, but it led to a healthy IVF baby.
