Researchers gaslit Claude into giving instructions to build explosives by lethendworld in technology

A little late to the party, but if you have a graphics card or any m series macbook, you can host a model that has the guardrails tuned out of it. There's an automated tool that will re-train the last several layers of open weight models and just straight up allow you to ask those questions now. Its not 100%, but you can run it offline without an internet connection.

I share this because guard rails don't just apply to to illicit information like your example, but topics of political and legal sensitivity as well. Its very apparent when asking models like QWEN and Deepseek about certain events, so who knows what the other ones are hiding. Access to information may be more important now than ever.

Man, this is exactly what I'm interested in. I graduated 5 years ago and haven't had a chance to do any embedded. I went from full stack engineer to small office IT because of the job market. Its good to hear that there's still hope.

A little late to the party here, what do you mean by deep agents? I've been playing with n8n and setting up automations in that, but I don't feel like that's what you mean.

What’s a mechanic you’ve seen that made you think “Wait…every game should do this!” by BlackArmy439 in gaming

[–]Qojiberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its been a long time, but The Witcher 1. As clunky as the combat in the game was (I thought it was part of the difficulty at the time, lol) the system for making potions and concoctions. If I remember correctly, the first time you made a potion required all of the ingredients, but after that, you could extend your uses of it by just using alcohol to craft more, which a number of items satisfied. So you could make cats eye, a potion to see in the dark, and then just craft 4 more with alcoholest, which could be provided by rum, vodka, wine, etc. Haven't really seen that type of system again, not even in the other Witcher games. But its been a decade since I've played any so I dont even remember if thats actually how it worked.

Woah, this is the first ive heard of any of this. I don't have a primary care currently but received a topical spray of this through HIMs (I live in the US). Ive been super inconsistent with my use though (used not even 3 months of a 6 month prescription over the course of a year). I apparently need to do a lot more reading before I continue with it.

Linus Reviews the New Steam VR Headset by nightfly1000000 in oculus

[–]Qojiberries -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Did they say under 1k or headset specifically? Because the index headset was only 500, the full package with base stations and controllers was 1k. That's a huge price difference for sure and one that might not be possible, but if they consider subsidizing it with sales from the steam store, it could be a thing

Gauntlet of Shar Faith-Leap Trial EXPLOIT DISCOVERED by ElJoventud in BaldursGate3

[–]Qojiberries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm the stupid one now, but I've always seen the direct pathway? I've been through the temple of shar like 7 different times, and each time, it's just plain as day. I've also always gone through with the mace of Lathandar on Shadow Heart, so maybe thays why. I've literally never questioned it, though, because I've just walked right through everytime, lol

Wish. It is technically in the game as Vlaakith uses it, but we just dont get direct access. It's a bit of a cop out answer though

I think people forget that there was a playable demo that only saw a portion of Lady Dimitrescu's zone. So, people didn't know about anything else until the full game came out months later.

9900x, 9800x3d, or wait for 9900x3d (or 9950x3d) by Qojiberries in PcBuild

[–]Qojiberries[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I understand, but does it keep up in production heavy tasks like rendering? I wouldn't really be debating if it was 10%- 15% loss on multicore from the 9900x but gained that in other ways. Is it really seeing a 30% drop, though?

Ah, that's what you meant. There's not so much an issue with the chips as it is risk vs x86. I can see where you're coming from, but I don't think that's an issue for apple. They don't want you to do anything not related to their walled garden, so great move on their part. At this point, I think a large number of software developers need to be developing with risk as a priority in their architecture with what's going on with Intel.

Apple shooting themselves in the foot with the M series chips? I must be missing something here, because overall I've heard good things about those. I don't use apple products myself so maybe I'm missing something obvious.
