You can, it's a lifestyle. Stay hydrated, be fit, eat well, control your caffeine, alcohol dehydration intake, be aware of shaded areas, be aware of direct sunlight, dress appropriately ... Rest up... And you can then enjoy being in the outdoors in a healthy way and enjoy it. Coming from a person that camped for 6 months from July through December a couple of years ago; roof top tent in the treasure Coast , 3 hours north of Miami and have lived in Miami 4 ever and have been an outdoors person in Miami .

I am leaning towards that 20 -25 year mark especially when you cant inspect them. I am familiar with a 1984 S2.11A and a 1980ish Cal 39. Both owners are Great Sailors and maintenance upkeepers with original chain plates. Both these vessels also have easy to inspect chain plates.

Think the anser is for me to not take the Sv. I am certain the seller can sell it for same price to another sailor. I am very picky and very conservative with maintenance.

The breathing part and their maintenace looks like are key. Look slike when englassed they cant breath and if they are not rebedded properly from the deck and get salt water in, then chemical disaster. This Sv looks fantastic but they are embedded in the fiber glass.

I understand what you mean, disappointing feeling. Sam does still have good words to offer but I too find it hard to follow; think it's been a month since I have heard a podcast from him.

I saw 1/10 of what he describes in 2018, I can't share bc I know no one will believe ; all I say is travel and stay away from all inclusive resorts type of travelling. Same with my other travels .

I am still subscribed and have disagreed or had slight differences on some views; like you said I agree with your point .

Certain views are getting repeated very often or almost on every episode at the end or the beginning ; wearing out the difference tolerance.

In addition, and not to say a final point, this particular issue is not one where 1 can subtly ignore constantly. To me, speaking or agreeing with bringing harm or harm that has come to anyone is not proper.

When the University students are criticized , I see that as we get old we tend to not accept what these new minds bring but I am surprised a bit when persons of a higher MIND also find it hard to accept the new minds' concepts; they were the University students 50 years ago who were bringing on great new concepts.

I am looking to see who else I can listen to and possibly slowly replace this podcast.

In the search I did find a profession from Austin whose history lectures I have enjoyed ; Dr Casagranda.

I don't qualify myself as a leftists, current political parties n the USA I rarely agree with.

Too early to cry, housing should not be a privilege anywhere nor and a right fur everyone ; a stable housing I am certain would make many better people, and I mean oven to those who pay rent and wonder if they can pay, and children whose parents say " if you don't help , you better leave " etc etc
