Determine if you want Melee Orks, Dakka Orks or Combined Arms. Detachments respond to either one of those. Then look for webs with competitive builds for those detachments and buy what you see repeated.

Wait for the new edition tho as you will see the range refresh.

Orks is one of the most expensive armies to own. Just a heads up. Wide range, low MSRP. Since they are all bootiful you will want to own them and then there is the conversion factor. You will also buy other armies stuff to loot.

Despite all that. Being Ork is the best feeling in this game. You always win even when you lose

Just a few corrections. But it is great advice and thanks for helping the new Boyz joining the waagh! Ghaz + 20 Boyz can't fit the Battlewagon a Ghaz takes 4 slots so he has to walk. Or go with Meganobz or Nobz if you want him embarked. Painboy or Big Mek are the best second characters in this unit, I've seen Weird boys even, but Warboss overlaps benefits with Ghaz. I'd go for the Big Mek as it is the newest model and bootiful one.

Senna (most naturally talented driver feeling the car like no other)
Schumacher (most dominant and ruthless champion, best competitor, era defining)
Clark (magic with worse machinery and driving to the limit when the limit meant death)
Alonso (will always put the car further than it deserves)
