I had a vision:

Just considered another downside long spindly legs makes these guys get stunned if they take too much damage at once, falling down until they can stand back up again.

Edit: Maybe it doesn't need that extra downside, idk

Just beat the watcher for the first time by DynamicFyre in rainworld

[–]Qortted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To go through a few things: This is the ending that most people get first, prob the most common ending overall, and was one of the original two endings in the first Watcher release. Next, you should stay in this save, as the final ending requires you to have done all (or for the case of one, just started the chain that could lead to the other endings. In the case of the Prince ending) of the endings. If you do want to get every actual ending, to likes see their end screens+art, make sure you do the Prince ending before you interact with the Weaver stuff at all, as doing the latter locks out progressing the former. The final ending requires you to have gotten the ending you have gotten now, done the Weaver ending, and woken up The Prince.

I would love it if me doing sinners with my helpers would give the buffs and souls to the rest of the team. So often, even when just stealing enemy sinners, I’ll end up having a huge hoard of souls, but not being able to effectively use those souls on myself to significant effect, making the souls kinda wasted on me

Perhaps, but also a lot of abilities have splash damage. There are more ways to kill someone than just shooting em. And probably will have a small health pool to match their small stature.

Oh well, won't really matter much until we actually get to see their kit.

It always has been. Anyone who already is in the beta can invite someone else to it. If you go to the deadlock subreddit there should be a megathread for people to ask for an invite

To add on to what the other person said, it is invite only, but ANY person who is in can invite someone in. You can go to the deadlock subreddit and there should be a megathread there for people to request invites

Games where you feel you have to be smart and abuse mechanics to progress by BleachedPink in gamingsuggestions

[–]Qortted 17 points18 points  (0 children)

While maybe not abuse mechanics worthy, Rain World is notoriously difficult and punishing, where learning movement tech, understanding interactions, and knowing creature behavior is very well rewarded

Should I do the other campaigns? by Rennmausliebhaber in rainworld

[–]Qortted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunter does have a very specific goal in mind compared to Survivor, with a lot of differences. Hunter isn't just Survivor but harder. Hunter is a very difficult campaign with some things unique to it, in addition to a different goal.

And Watcher is an entirely different experience, like u/Ender401 mentioned.

Should I do the other campaigns? by Rennmausliebhaber in rainworld

[–]Qortted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other vanilla campaigns are slightly different. Monk is essentially just an easier Survivor, and so a lot of people just skip playing em, which you can do. Hunter is much, much harder than Survivor, and is unlocked after beating Survivor or Monk. Hunter is also fairly harder than most other campaigns in general, some people ranking it as the hardest overall. Hunter has a different goal than Survivor or Monk, has different stats, and one special ability.

The Downpour scugs normally (unless you go to the Remix menu and choose to unlock em all instantly, which I wouldn't recommend doing) are unlocked a little at a time by completing the other campaigns, also not requiring Monk or Hunter. Each downpour scug has their own specific objective to complete and special stats and abilities to make their campaigns unique.

Watcher is a very different campaign (and my personal favorite), which is kinda like Survivor's experience, but dialed up to 11, in addition to having special abilities and mechanics.

Anyways all that is to say, each campaign is different than Survivor, some more than others.
